  • What hardware are you using for the top?

  • how big is your top piece

  • looks like you just got some boards and started nailing them together. thats ok for a small fort, this thing has to handle some abuse. If you made 2' by 1.5' boxes (like 5 of them) and nailed 10' 2x4's on top and bottom that might hold up better. or crap man at least put a runner in the middle so all of you supports are connected some how.

  • sooo sketchy

  • How many little 6 inch pieces did u cut?

    From

    Danil

  • that thing looks soo skechy

  • handles are stupid to put on there, that's how u catch edges

  • dats not ply wood man dats shitty chip wood dat will rot so fast when it gets wet and will break up

  • NICe suPRAS

  • if i were you i would make somthing out of that propane tank

  • where did you get the plastic and how much

  • looks good but it looked pretty shaky when you were on it. prob just needs more supports and maybe side panels or something

  • Not bad. I built one using some of the tips in this video but used HDPE. Check out my box edit on my profile

  • wobbly as shit you gootta put sides on it man

  • this guys retarded all you have to do for it todry is floip it over and keep it there the way he had it most of the glue dryed in big globs leaving bumps that could make the whole project turnn out bad im not hatin im just sayin

  • is way to wide for me

  • can you use the fake ice that you use to test out your hockey skates?

  • can you use the fake ice stuff you use to test out your hockey skates?

  • what are the name off the song

  • HA eat shit.

  • nice but you should ran some 2 by 4s down the sides for it to be more stable.

  • what type of glue did you use and is it holding up ok

  • If u cant find any Trex, just use Magic Carpets(or whatever u wanna call em). Take a few of those and nail em down onto the box. Works perfectly

  • i cant find trex sheets i only find trex for railings for decks where can i can sheets of it an what did you use for your top and where did u get it bro

  • so unstable put wood on the sides bro

  • what size wood did you use?

  • how much does it cost for HDPE?

  • 1:18 ;D

  • when you put the plywood on top can you coat it with something or does something else need to be placed over it?

  • wht did u use for the top sheet if its not trex

  • everytime you ride your box it looks like its about to tip over,

i dont think its your box thats the problem, you need to dig out snow where your box is going, and build around it. shoul have put plywood on the sides so you could build it up

check out my video how good it turned out.

nice to see others making boxes though

  • what is on the top of this box?

  • @jaro26955 trex

  • hey quick question, you used trex for the top right? can you tell me where you found it?

  • @xxmusic000xx not trex found it at menards

  • @WaxedBoardProduction what is menards. and what can i use on the top

  • @mrfresh9900 menards is basically a homedepot

  • How much does it weigh? because i need a very mobile one.

  • your box sucks! its shacking when you shredd it!XD

  • @SnowteamHaiQ Your spelling sucks! learn to spell before you insult people

  • what did you use for the top of your box? and where can i find it at?

  • you no pressure treated wood isnt that much?like 4$ for a 16 ft

  • when you ride across does it feel like a normal box?

  • make a ghetto box, works just as well and i paid like max 5 dollars

go to a construction site where they are building homes

tons of extra wood and nails there

all you need is the plastic and snow

  • where can u buy trex

  • @geno7188 home depot

  • where did u get the trex

  • plastic wood works well on boxs for top sheets im going to homedepot today to buy all my wood for it

when you put the black plastic on your box you should have put it all the way to the top it will make your box look nice and keep the wood clean

  • lol thats the most ghetto rail ive ever seen, but it works i guess. how much did u spend on it?

  • about 60 dollars

  • can you tell me where you go to online to just buy one to be shipped to you

  • lol same as DCSnowboardMan

  • lol your an idiot its how they're made

  • I live in Cincinnati, Oh and im trying to decide if its worth it to make some rails/boxes/whatever. because it only snows from Dec.-February but when it snow it snows alot

  • Im in North Royalton. a suburb of cleveland. it's well worth making your own rails. because as you said when it snows we get a shit load

  • ya, i live in north canton and my rail beasts

  • i live in pittsburgh pa bro so like 1 or 2 from you, if you got a small hill in your yard make alittle terrain park.

  • can you use linoleum for the top of the box?

  • ya def just get the smoothest one you can

  • here in sweden they use UV protected polyetylen on most parks

  • what kind of material is hdpe, because i see a kind that is like a sheet is that right? also if you could give a link or something that would be sick, and your box looks sick.

  • its plastic and its a sheet yea normaly for cutting boards at restaurants or w/e but works really good for boxes i got it on mine

  • not bad not bad. looks like shit but hey watever works.

  • did you putted wax on it or it only slides that much on the plastic

  • no wax

  • that is garbage you just cpoied some one elses video pretty much and the plastc is a retarded idea because it wont be secure in the snow unless you have snow around it and

  • or maybe this is how they are built, i didnt copy you dumbass and the box is heavy enough it doesnt move sure its a little wobbly because i didnt put plywood on the side and the plastic blocked water from the wood

  • @Randyv1234 Bro thats how theyre built, he did a good job on the vid, so stfu

  • thank you hes obviously an idiot thats just trying to start shit

  • good vid, bad snowboard skills, lol just screwing with ya kid.

  • 3:04 it doesn't look very sturdy... put plywood on the sides and use outdoor paint to make it last longer, it acts like it's weather treated that way.

  • plexy glass is best on top

  • it cracks :/ they usually use HDPE in terrain parks.... Lasts long

  • if your building a rail, could you use nails instead of screws?would nails work as good?PLEASE RESPOND!

  • It will fall apart easier but it works fine but you still need to drill holes so they dont stick out above the plastic

  • nice vid but u dont need goggles if ur backyard jibing

  • not if you can put in on right

  • DCsnowboardman's is so much better

  • i agree

  • TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hey man stop hatin

  • agreed

  • hey so what is your top sheet? u never actually said wether it was hdpe or trex? where can i get either? and how thick should it be?

  • i built a box but i didnt put a surface on the top yet and dont want to spend alot of money eaither.. so that TREX stuff is just like flooring?

  • ya go to menards

  • the cheapest solution is linoleum flooring. it works great and it can be dirt cheep. just try to get a smooth design. that's what i am using on my box and its great.

  • do you ever catch edges on it?

  • not if i make good pilot holes

  • you*

  • hey i noticed a kirkey race seat in the background. do you race?

  • nah my dad does late models

  • what is that top sheet called? does it work well?

  • the top is HDPE (high dense poly ethelene) but thats kinda expesive but trex is cheaper and that works too

  • lol learn to weld

  • couldent you roll with just the plywood for the top sheet?

like...just throw some wax on the top and ride on that?

  • no that just wont work, u dont slide and if the wood splinters, u will catch an edge and die

  • touche

  • did u really only spend $14 on that topsheet?

  • u should put a little bit of plywood on the side so its not as wobbly but anyway 1 hell of a good job

  • wat song is this?

  • my life by the game and lil wayne

  • danm that cool not hating but u got a small stance

  • I made a box but i still dont have the top material. Yours looks good and its really inexpensive. can you tell me where you got it and what it is? Thanks nice job btw

  • i got mine at home depot it was shower wall or somthing just look and ask around just explain to the guy what you are doing and they usually have an idea of what to get you

  • how much was that shower wall.

  • how many 2x4's did u buy same with the pressure treat wood

  • how much more would it be with pressure treated wood

  • what did you use for the top sheet?

it looks well worth the $14. lol

  • wal mart boards ftw!

  • i thought it was a ride board

  • i live in GR too!

  • Comment removed

  • what did you use for the top, trex?

  • ya iv done mine its 3 ft long and it havs steel edges

  • that aint leather on ur top, i pretty sure its artificial linoleom

  • nice wish i lived wer u did ha

  • Hey, i have HDPE on mine and when i went up onto it on an edge instead of my board slipping out from under me it cut into the HDPE... should i wax the box, or does anyone have the same problem?

  • yes wax it

  • professional boxes have steal edges for axactly this reason :>

  • it really didnt matter about the steal edge he cut into the top not the side

  • has anyone built a drop in ramp? i wanna build a box for my backyard but its all flat

  • ya ive done it mines 6 ft 1 in tall

  • what the hell is trex

  • PVC do not work well!!!

  • has anyone had success with pvc pipes for the surface instead of HDPE?

  • nope, it breaks use metal

  • Comment removed

  • @bcarl10101 yea it actually works better

  • @bcarl10101 ya it works great. ive made 2 rails with it

  • @bcarl10101 my friend made a rail out of pvc pipe and about 40 min into our session he jumped on it and it cracked on half

  • how much did the hdpe cost and where did u get it

  • u can still buy regular wood just box in the sides make there sealed real tight and i made one for $47.00!!!!!

  • ur not doing big triks

  • your an idiot this is showing how to make it you can watch my other video of me actually hitting it

  • ur bad man

  • looks a little bit shaky the first time you hit it but its good.:P

  • i think your design could use a little work, its a little wobbly lol, and if anyone is wondering an alternative for the top is puckboard, get 1/4 inch, u should be able to buy a 4 X 8 sheet for around 80$

  • Whats your topsheet and how was it only $4?

  • i dont really know the technical name for it but i just went to menards and FELT around it was a shower wall or something

  • how much was it

  • look at the info

  • will metel on top work

  • no its not good to use

  • made one thats wayy better and more sturdy..use pressure treated.its heavier and more sturdier to weathring

  • Sweet riding and great idea. I actually might give this a try.

  • sick, maybe you guys could give me some advice on something. im trying to build a jib in my backyard and im plannin on using carpet for the takeoff and landing like a lowgrade plush one that wen u get it wet u could slide easy any suggestions?

  • use some type of astro turf or like a fake grass. then take soapy water and pour it all over. it works great.

  • looks wobley

  • i made a sick slider for almost nothing ,

    5 crates equally spacesd out

3 thick pvc tubes drilled allong

    done.

  • Hey I am wondering what you used as your sliding surface?? Im all set to build except for that part. comment me

  • mine was this stuff that went on the walls of showers just go to menards and feel around and find something that is smooth and doesnt stick when wet

  • Thanks

  • pretty good a lil wobbly tho

  • willl u please explain to me what u use on the top cuase im confused

  • just go to menards and feel around

  • Comment removed

  • good vid itll probs help out alot of ppl

  • good instructions and all but in the end it looked abit cheap. lol i made a box with a friend and followed somewhat the same dimensions as you did but we put metal edges on the sides and used what we call in french "du plancher flottant" as our surface.

  • just buy a picnic table and put the plastic on it

    you get 3 rails

a bit one on top and two small ones on the side

and if adjusted you get a cannon :D

  • just stain all the wood, its way cheaper than pressure treated wood, and wont rot or wateva

  • ya thats wat i did

  • in this video when you hit the box it looks really sketchy, but in your other one its good..... think it would be better if you put would panels on the side, but im wonderin how much more that would cost

thanks for the vid and have fun shreddin

  • ya no problem in this one i had to much lip on the jump so i was landing hard on it the other one i made it better so it would shoot me out not up

  • just get some pannels of wood and just cover it up..its not expensive u can get big sheets of it really cheap at a home depot or lowes.

  • thanks dude sick video

  • no problem bro

  • i havnt seen one vid on how to make a box that ppl ask what you use for your top sheet

  • k thanks im making that

  • is trex the stuff you used?

  • no its this stuff that goes on the walls of showers its not leather like i said in the vid

~just go to home depot, lowes, or menards and look and FEEL a whole bunch of stuff

  • i made mine for about 300 out of lexan and its pretty sick. too bad you guys didn't have these vids up sooner cuz that woulda saved me some time. but whatever i got a sick box now anyway.. now all i need is MORE SNOW

  • ya where do u live?

what i do is get a wheel barrel and just walk around and get snow if i need to but here in michigan we get enough snow

  • I live in utah.. The mountains have been gettin pounded all year but where i live its rained all winter.. it got up to almost 60 today it sucks

  • HEY! where in michigan you live? I have some boxes my self....

  • i live in west michigan by Grand Rapids and stuff where do u live
