  • I had the pleasure of hearing Danny, Mark, Scott and Gerald doing a Remembering the Music- a Tribute to the Cathedrals last year. They were great!!

Danny is older (aren't we all) but he can still get up there. This is my favorite lead of his with the Cats. Great song and great singer, this is my favorite lineup of the Cathedrals too.

  • I just feel like I'm already in Heaven when these men sing! Perfect harmony! The best quartet ever!

  • This has to be one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.

  • My wife thinks he says, "Vast yet". Is she right?

  • @chehsed Yes. She is correct.

  • Can somebody help me understand the lyrics in that one place in the song? Danny sings some word that sounds like "vastient", and then he sings "oh so real...". What is that word?

  • @chehsed the words are, but the love of my Saviour is so vast, yet oh so real

  • Thank you Cathedrals for you music of Prais to are Lord and Savior, I can say I have been blessed by your Ministries in song Praise God for you all and may he bless you Danny and Mark keep singoing

  • Man this is awesome!!! Danny is the best!!!

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely the pinnacle of Southern Gospel quartet singing! The perfect song - sung by the perfect tenor singer - and backed up vocally by the perfect quartet! Thank you, gentlemen, for burning your music deep within my heart. Southern Gospel will never be the same without you - you are greatly missed!

  • When I was a kid, we used to sing the old Phillip P. Bliss hymn, "Whosoever Will" (not the same song as this) in church. As a 5-year-old lad, I wondered who "Whosoever Will" was...I figured he was a cowboy character, like Hopalong Cassidy, Hoot Gibson or Gabby Hayes.

  • @moproducer My mum asked "what was your Sunday School lesson about today" I too was five. I replied, " we had a story about a witch." My mother was astonished and got in touch with the teacher. who replied the text had been " the son of man came to seek and to save that which was lost"

  • @greyandold Remember good old childhood hymns like "Gladly, The Cross-Eyed Bear"? Or "Bessy The Parachute"? How about "Love Lipton Tea"?

  • Mark Trammel - baritone- has given the Cathedrals the greatest depth ever. His clarity of voice and range is unmatched among baritones. He is also one of the most humble singers I've seen

  • That's pure gold.

Amazing voices, extraordinary harmonies. God bless them all, and us too.

  • 0:34 is one of the lowest notes I've heard George hit in any video except those "bass videos"

  • mr. funderburk was one of my best tenor,,,i like his name coz his voice always burk,,hehehehee

  • There are not words to describe this. It is more than beautiful. The message of the song...I stand in awe of that fact that Jesus loves me, that he died for me. This song says it perfectly.

I love hearing Danny sing. He is the best tennor that I've ever heard. He sings with all of his heart. It does something to me every time I hear his voice,

  • I love their music so much!!! The harmonies are brilliant!!!

  • Awesome! Now thats music!!

  • This song expresses the love of Jesus. He simple says whosoever will may come. Danny sings with such sincerety and I love to hear Mark Trammell and Roger Bennett. I miss the Cathedrals. They were a most compassionate and real group and reached out to their fans. ........Gwen Weaver

  • Great tenor!!

  • Danny In My opinon was the Best tenor That the Cathedrals ever had

  • I am dreaming that we have this kind of music or special numbers in our church...love the cathedral quartet so much. Praise the Lord

  • im [believing] with you. We have orchestrated music and similar vocal arrangements like 'The Cathedrals' and it is truly a blessing..and let me testify that it sure does bring an annointing!! Sabine Tabernacle, Beaumont, TX.

  • Danny and Brian Free...BEST TWO TENORS EVER !!!! God Has touched them !!!!

  • I've looked everywhere for the lyrics to this song, with no success. Does anyone have them?

  • Well.....I don't have them either but would love to get them. Let me know if you ever get them and where yo got them from. Also would love the trac.

  • Thanks so much for posting. This has always been one of my favorite Cathedral songs because it featured the softer side of Danny's voice.

  • Thank you: they are news to me! Good news!

  • Danny is indeed the greatest Southern Gospel Tenor ever. George summed it up right after this song on the live recording "Danny has one of the most powerful tenor voices I've ever heard. He can sing G's, and sing it through the roof, and yet Danny can take a song like this, and sing it so beautiful, and so lovely...I believe the Master has touched this young man."

  • COMPLETELY agree...Danny IS the best. :]

  • The most beautiful song the Cats ever did...this song was my introduction to Danny Funderburk...back in the late eighties...he was the best back then..love Danny Funderburk.

    Auke

  • Amen Auke, Cathedrals had excellent tenors, I think Funderburk has to rank, in my opinion, as the top.

  • Just another example that Danny Funderburk is the Greatest Tenor to ever walk in shoe leather!!! Great Great Post!!

  • Great song. Thanks for posting as always!
