  • stop using old vhs tapes to recorded over and over and over and over again that's was causing the tape to go bad once again get more blank vhs tapes or start recording dvds

  • I have some of these same clips. And this is the first / only YouTube video I've found so far showing the old Cinemax 1-Movie-Genre-Per-Night/Day schedule. I remember it WELL. When I checked it out, it was originally - Monday: Comedy (10PM), Tuesday Suspense (10PM), Wednesday: Vanguard (10PM), Thursday: Horror (10PM... then they changed it to 11:30PM), Friday: Premiere (either 8 or 10PM), Saturday: Action (10PM, but they might have changed it to later), and Sunday: Classics (12-noon).

  • Then they changed that. Not sure about the time slots, but Wednesday became Horror and Thursday became Drama. Cinemax literally turned me on to horror (and, shockingly enough, Disney's what turned me on to liking creepy, anti-realistic things). If I knew how to, I would probably try to upload them. I have the clips where they played There's Nothing Out There and, I think, the 4-week lineup was: The Runestone, Critters 4, Frogtown II, and The Toxic Avenger Part 2 (which would make it May... '92)

  • In this clip, you also show the Viewer Mail request thing... I also remember that. I remember the NIGHT! It was 1992, I was 10. I remember that (can you believe it?). Just came back on Halloween night from trick-or-treating, my mom was recording HBO's Tales from the Crypt marathon (they showed 11 episodes from season 3 and 1 from season 2). On 'max, they showed the Viewer Mail request for Jason Takes Manhattan and I recorded the movie- it's still my favorite Friday the 13th movie.

  • Also... I recorded The Naked Truth on the night the clip mentions it. So, I've got the clip of the next 4-week lineup. I think one of the next movies was Mo Money. I KNOW one of them was Miracle Beach. And I kept some of those old HBO/Cinemax guide books. Those tiny leaflet-booklets. Probably from that same year. Also, I have a clip of the 4-week Vanguard lineup that mentions High Heels. I think I remember the others: Proof, Flirting, and... Zebrahead maybe.

  • @FourFliesDVD Would like to see that. Can you post it?

  • @Wildcock23 - I have no idea how to upload video clips from VHS onto my computer. I'm horribly computer illiterate when it comes to these things. I don't even know how to work an in-printer scanner.

  • @FourFliesDVD It's quite simple; there are numerous ways to upload. I just use a little box I connect to my VCR, transfer to a flashstick, then upload online. Hell, if you'd send me tapes I'd be glad to upload them haha

  • Great! I love watching this old stuff. I grew up on old school Cinemax. Thanks!

  • @drhackenstine My pleasure. Again I'm sorry for the poor quality
