Tell you what, I hear a lot of criticism fired at different bands purely because some people don't like them. Doesn't make them lousy... I never really was a fan of nirvana but musically they were brilliant. They just never really grabbed me.

I only recently heard of Cage the Elephant (heard 2 songs, this and In one ear). Definitely a band worth checking out. You can't fault the musicality of this song, these guys are tight! Love the melodic parts and the energy as it builds up.

@XF6YH I'm just a vocalist but there are two effects I can hear easily, one is obviously distortion the other is reverb or whatever guitar uses because the distortion is less powerful and sounds more further away and shallow. I'm probably missing something but I'd say give that a shot.
