The problem is he's an extremely smart economist - and the British public don't understand often what he's talking about. The public tend to prefer emotional arguments than rational ones, so he should water down content and instead focus on a tougher image. We like tough, after all, we're a warlike people that respects only strength.
@Jimbo2189 Do you know that Christianity is correct? The world around us reveals that G-d DOES exist, and the historical evidence reveals that Jesus Christ really did come to this earth and there is overwhelming evidence that Jesus Christ really did physically rise from the dead. Jesus is coming again and the signs of the end times that were foretold in the Bible are coming to pass.
Play this over and over again and you will hear what a load of twaddle he talks. Long may he stay as opposition leader. "I am my own man" Never was there a truer statement?

@gwertgwaetfawer Kind of ironic that you're not competent to spell incompetent. Also, it should go without saying, but all intelligent people think that anti-semites are despicable.
Milliband is a Me Me Me...The Prat can not see the Past..He Never stood up to Brown!! Why? Ass kicked out...The Man has a Very short memory span.He forgets 13 years of New Labour Spend/Borrow/Spend...and Losing Private sector jobs to China/Europe and India..Under New Labour we Lost More LABOUR!!!!.You can not run a Country on the Public Sector..They put nothing in just take it out...Its like having your own Company and having 10 people work for you...Great you think Labour are so good????NOT!!!
@pogsboo you are so right, their borrowing is truly staggering, and wreckless, im a working class man, a lorry driver, but they have left the most horrific debt...totally horrific...., the idiots
@HarrysSecret Yes, really. I am not a fan of him or his music, but if it's a honest statement that makes sense and sums up a man completely, it doesn't matter where it comes from.
Ed Miliband is the least inspiring figure in modern politics. Even Clegg can stand up, speak and sound like he means what he says (even if there is tons of evidence, including previous interviews, to show he's lying), while Ed blandly dribbles out whatever the fuck he's going on about in a squirmy, washy, half-comatose, fashion. The longer he stays in charge the worse it is for Labour. He can't possibly win an election, and even if he somehow managed to, does Labour even want him to be PM?
@DSDMovies The Interesting thing is that Labour are behind tories in recent Polls! Ed Miliband cannot even answer the question when he would have signed the new EU treaty deal or not, so he has no confidence, lack of prudence in leadership and lack of persona as leader of the labour party, - Labour's record on dealing with our economy is dire so I would never vote labour again! - There is too much uncertainty.
@Supersmooth007 I do not see him as party leader let alone PM leading our country. I mean Labour brought out country on the brink of bancrupcy like Greece and hid behind the deficit problem and kept borrowing to keep power. I hate Blair and dislike Brown but Blair had strength, courage and power he had the manner of a PM - Ed Milliband just hasn't a clue.
Reporters are trying to catch these people who have commited their entire life to gaining power and shifting blame on others. 1 in 1000 times it will work, the rest will just create boring TV.
NOTHING will change in the UK until voters start realising that central power doesn't work, and the more central it is - the worse.
You Poms can vote UKIP which fix most of your problems, and get the UK moving. Or you can stick to your main parties and turn into 'The sick man of Europe' once again.
"you were the man pictured on the shoulder of Gordon brown when he went in the treasury. Why didn't you change it? As I said earlier I am my own man"... Got to be the worst answer to one of the best questions I've heard in a long time...
ed miliband is a total fucking prick. i cant stand him. constant bickering towards the gvment . everytime you hear him on tv its a rant towards the coalition. whatever the guvnment say he says the opposite. PRICK!!!!
@ritchieboyuk god no, he is a gonk, his brother should have won, but i wouldnt vote labour, my friends children wil pay these horrific debts !! well the intrest on them anyway !!
The thing is, in the position the UK is now. Your forced to make a choice, invest in the future of the nation to get over this downturn at the expense of greater debt, or cut spending and investment to such a degree that you can lower your debt burden greatly. So you can start over and begin grow when you have downsized. The goal is the same, the thing is that growing the debt now might be better as your grow more in the future to pay for it.
@SleepinBagMonsters , I agree with you that the main parties are committed to the Euro project, but I fail to see a solution. The media 'mind control' likes to create an image that we once stood alone, it never happened, ,there never was such a time, you either sell your nation to the States, Eu or Asia. There doesn't seem to be an alternative, other than via some form of Utopian dream state. Beyond the argument of our true overlords, I would like to see personal freedoms and more equality.
@SleepinBagMonster The electorate are to blame, they didn't vote for a true Labour party and the hard sell of individual greed over a fair society turned the voters on. Labour shifted right under Blair in order to secure the people who do vote. This is called political expediency. If people educated themselves about history they would all vote for the party who represent their situation and not the populist mantra's individualist greed. Then you would get a Labour movement that would never lose.
@bongoloid77 However Conservative Lord can fund the Conservatives whole election campaign whilst residing in South America. Regulations of party funding is the answer and it should be fully accountable and state funded to ensure the amounts given and the way in which it has been spent. For a Conservative supporter to baulk at such non-dom party funding is like Roger the Dodger making a citizens arrest on Oliver Twist.
Ed Miliband & Ed Balls were Gordon Brown's henchmen at the Treasury throughout New Labour! They seem to require the nation to have collective amnesia about their past! They talk as if they've been in opposition for many years, when they actually ran the country for 13 years & screwed everything up, big time!
@MinutemanUK so without wasting words as you have done: liar, idiot that signed the treaty, selfish (not sure how you mean). long time tory? i think i hate this man

Good ole ed, about as 'honest' a politician as you'd find from a used car salesman.
Problem is, none of our politicians are honest at all, none care for the country, none care even for their constituency.
And we'll just keep voting labour-tory-labour-tory in an endless loop of self-destruction, but we just cant get our heads out of our tribal party politic holes.
Ed may be bad, but for every one of him, there's at least 50 more worse in parliament. (That we voted for!)
he wants to address the class system? red-ed is a worthy nickname indeed. there is probably a sign in his parliamentary office saying "government can solve every problem!"
@CelticReject Lol, you won't get a job. No one wants to employ you, especially with your low intelligence level. David cameron and his Tories will make sure you stay unemployed and poor, don't worry :)
@CelticReject I'd love to know how you think any employer , anywhere, is going to accept a CV and consider employing somebody who lives in a completely different country. Where's your logic, faggot? No where. But please, feel free to continue living your shitty existence.
I'm not a labour man, but I was hoping (before the labour leadship contest) that Ed' would take up the mantle and offer a strong opposition because a strong parliament needs a strong opposition ....the first few PMQ's after the labour leadership contest were really encouraging ....things have not continued at that level. This is bad for the union.
I do respect he's got balls for being able to talk in a positive way about baroness Thatcher ....the shadow chancellor's balls dropped recently as well; demonstrated by his abilty to apologise for his part in the formation of britains fiscal policy ....now lads ....put some ideas together and THEN hold a confrence. / I fear the conservative conference coming up will be ...dry without the compulsory Portillo-like zeal to make up for what wil likley be an uninformative conference.
