@yupper99 Taliban wasn't doomed because it allowed prostitution. It had so many defects in every aspect of its existence from culture religion politics etc. Stoning a woman clearly illustrate the kind of illness in that society.

Rape was rampant among youth, and every guy was trying to get into a girl's pants, its the same as today because it has always been the same. There has been repression of sexual thoughts, but they have always been just as prominent in the mind of men.

My 17 yrs old sister went with her boy friend for 3 days to the city and he never took advantage of her, now they've been married for 20 yrs and proudly tell that story.

@ambrosiobertodazo Actually, you are both wrong. "Prostitution" is not illegal in many countries (as well as the state of Nevada in the US). "Solicitation" is. "Value exchanged" does not necessarily have to involve currency--"money" (obviously). Sexual relations between legal spouses are obviously excluded from the definition of "prostitution" activities. The state of California and many countries also have laws that differentiate "prostitution" and those appearing in porn.

The act has a universal concept but jurisdiction varies as to outlawing them or which stage of the act is punished. Some punishes mere solicitation while others punishes only when it's consummated.
In many states, police entrapment waits for money changing hands before arrest.
