  • 1:25 epic face's bliaaad :D

  • Around 1:25 there is a young Corey Feldman in green pigtails!

  • This song was the soviets response to the western hemishphere's well known let it be. At the time of this song being made western influences were creeping under the iron curtain and the soviets wanted to clamp down on it. So they made their own versions of some things, such as let it be, in order to try and prevent the west from influencing their people

  • FU..................k RUSSIA!!!!!!!

  • Снова наши уебаны плагиаторы все у всех спиздили!!

  • Ill sung but great fun!! It is really hilarious and very charming. It has nothing to to with communism, conformism or anything like that. "Bylo, est, i snova: budet tak". = "It was, it is and it will always be like that." Love. Life. The sun will shine. People will be the same. It is NOT propaganda! Isn't that obvious to everyone? Some morons on this site really tend to make up their own fairytales. PS: My tribute @longlivethereds, you brave, brave boy (girl?).

  • I once saw a version of this with subtitles. The words they are singing ("Budet Tak") are loosely translated as "It's all the same." The Soviets didn't translate the Beatles lyrics for this. Instead, they made up their own lyrics.

The singers are singing about how everyone is all the same, no one is an individual. They're promoting Communist conformity. They want the children watching to grow up to be good, obedient Soviets.

If there was ever a "Red square," I think that glasses guy is IT!

  • @RSLindsay erm. no ) they are singing that people are the same (they repeated) through generations, and that for loving people the song starts as new, it was and it will be like that

  • @s14miranda Don't be so nitpicky. I'm just telling you what the subtitles on the version *I* saw said they were singing. The point is, it's a bad Beatles parody.

  • Comment removed

  • @RSLindsay I speak Russian ass-hole, that isn't true at all.

"Budet tak" means "it will be".

Your anti-communist propaganda is bullshit, because you're an assclown who clearly doesn't speak russian and made up a false story that's clearly a lie if to anyone who speaks russian.

  • @michaelwuzthere Oh, boy. Here we go. Another "so-sure-he-is-right bottom-feeding YouTube poster" who makes rude, insulting comments just to prove...what, exactly? I don't know what you're trying to prove here.

But please post more. I find posters like you *so* amusing. You're like a little chihuahua, barking and yapping, trying to make yourself seem important.

P.S. You accuse me of "anti-communist propaganda." Does that mean you're a Commie? You *support* the now-dead Soviet dictatorship?

  • @RSLindsay Looks like someone's upset for being exposed as a liar. Not trying to amusing, just being real.

PS, Being a communist doesn't mean you support a soviet dictatorship.

  • @michaelwuzthere I'm not upset. I find people like you *absolutely hilarious.* You think you have to chastise every YouTube poster that you don't agree with. You're not "being real," you're just being a fool. And the funny part is, you don't even realize it.

But please post more. I think it's very funny the way you keep making a fool of yourself here. I enjoy laughing at guys like you.

P.S. You say you're a Commie, but you don't support a Soviet dictatorship? WELL, WHY NOT?!

  • @RSLindsay "Don't agree with?" Excuse me? You were making an all-out lie, dumbass. You're incredibly stupid, and this conversation is over, moron.

  • @michaelwuzthere Hey, I like you! You're silly. It's been a pleasure to watch you scurry away, tail between your legs, and then come crawling back for more punishment.

You keep trying to prove you're smarter than me, but with each YT post, you just prove yourself a nincompoop. Your mistake is in believing I give a rat's ass what a nitwit like you says about me. But please don't stop posting now, just because you've realized you're wrong in this matter.

    Looking 4ward 2 your next B.S. post.

  • @RSLindsay I'm not saying anything about you, you're not worth my insults. I'm saying that your translation is a lie with a bullshit story to go along with it. But I guess you're too caught up with yourself that you can't come to terms with that. Now go back to your porn.

  • @michaelwuzthere "Go back to my porn." Why would I want to look at porn, when I'm having too much fun taunting you, silly guy? Your idiot posts are *much* more entertaining than porn.

  • @RSLindsay troll.

  • @michaelwuzthere Who's a troll? I didn't start this argument. You did. All I said in the beginning was, years ago, I *watched a video* that had this "Let It Be" parody with subtitles that said "Budet tak" meant "It's all the same" or something like that. If the subtitles on that video were wrong, does that make me a liar?

I find *you* a hilarious fool for making a federal case over a silly YT video! That's what makes you an idiot (and a troll)! You just can't just let it go, can you?

  • @RSLindsay What's the url code for the video then?

  • @michaelwuzthere YouTube won't let me post the URL here, but you can find it on YT by searching for "Communism: The Promise and The Reality - People Power [2/6]" or "People's Century People Power."

The "Let It Be" parody is at 5:09 of *Part 2*.

Actually, the glasses guy sings, "People are all the same. That's how it was, and is, and always will be."

Doesn't change the fact that it's a bad Beatles parody, or that you're a jerk and a fool for making flame posts over a stupid YT video.

  • @RSLindsay Yeah, nothing in there was about conformity, just a rough translation of the words - "There's nothing you go through that someone hasn't gone through before you, life teaches in the past, the present and in the future - so it is (budet tak)."

  • @michaelwuzthere Read-BETWEEN-the-lines, you incredible nitwit! This was ALL about conforming to the Soviet system!

Glasses guy sings, "People are all the same." (= "No one is an individual, so don't try to be one.")

He sings, "That's how it was, and is, and will be" (= "The Soviet system is forever, just accept it.")

The singing children, black dancers, & creepy bride & groom all reinforce the idea. "Live your Soviet life without questioning it."

I'm right, you're wrong. 'Twas ever thus!

  • @RSLindsay He doesn't say any of that crap. In case I have not already made it perfectly clear - I speak Russian as a first language along side English. You're not fooling anyone, least of all me. It's just a song about how pretty life is. That's it.

  • @michaelwuzthere Of course he doesn't *say* any of that crap, nincompoop! That's the *underlying message* of it! This was made in the 1970's, & the Soviet state controlled *everything* on TV. All TV programs had to reinforce Soviet ideas. This song is about how pretty life is under the Soviet system, as long as you conform to it & don't question it.

You're not fooling anyone either. You may speak Russian & English, but you're completely clueless! With each post, you prove yourself an idiot!

  • @RSLindsay Underlying message of what? You have no idea what the fuck he's even saying, idiot! There's nothing in this song about the "soviet system" or conformity of any kind.

In any way, it's obvious that you're a troll, and probably around age 12.

  • @michaelwuzthere You know, I'm really enjoying this. With every post, you make an even bigger fool of yourself.

I know what he's saying. (I've read the subtitles.) I also know what this video implies - that life under Soviet communism is oh so great (when in reality, the Russian people were standing in 6-hour lines to buy toilet paper). The conformity message is not in the song lyrics, but in the presentation of it.

I'm 43, BTW. Grew up in the Cold War. You're still an incredible idiot.

  • @RSLindsay I speak Russian, I know every word of what the song is saying. There is nothing in here praising any socio-economic system of any kind. It only is about enjoying life while you're alive and not to let anything get you down. And you have no idea what life was like in the USSR, whereas I do. There is nothing in the lyrics of this song nor in the video presentation that in any way conveys a message to conform to anything. You'd be surprised at how anti-conformist some soviet culture was.

  • @michaelwuzthere It's perfectly obvious to everyone that you know I'm right and you're wrong about this. First you accused me of lying when I said I had seen another video of this parody -- until I produced the video I had seen.

Now, you've realized you can't beat me, but in your anal retentive way, you can't admit you're wrong. You're a typical Commie. You keep insisting your ideas are right, even after its been proven how worthless they are.

Looking forward to more silly comments from you.

  • @RSLindsay I'm not trying to "beat" you, i'm saying that that's not at all what this song is about. And no, not even in that rough translation was there anything about conformity.

  • @michaelwuzthere I'm not talking about the song itself, or English-To-Russian lyric translation, idiot, but the *overall intent* of the video.

The song, "Let It Be," was a religious song, with lyrics about "Mother Mary." (Also, "Amen" means "Let it be" in Hebrew.")

The Soviets rewrote the religious lyrics, and created this video with images that promote Communist ideas about sameness, conformity, and acceptance.

I'm not trying to beat you either. You're doing it yourself with your posts.

  • @RSLindsay First of all, the original song is not religious, it just has one line that says "Mother Mary comes to me." which is just an allusion to religion. The original song is about getting through hard times, and this song is about enjoying the beauty of life while your alive.

Second, give me ONE example of how this promotes any "communist ideas" about sameness, conformity, and acceptance, (which have nothing to do with communism).

  • @michaelwuzthere I've already given the reasons. You just haven't been listening, stupid.

There's the *underlying meaning* of the lyrics: "People are all the same. That's how it was, and is, and always wil be." (Marx's classless society made "real" by the Soviet system.)

The dancers are wearing the *same* black leotards. Little boys all wearing identical suits, little girls, identical dresses.

Message: "Life is great under *Soviet* communism. Just accept it. Don't try to be an individual."

  • @RSLindsay I'm sorry, but you're quite frankly an idiot and a troll. Have a happy thanksgiving, asshole.

  • @michaelwuzthere See, the fact that you're back to name-calling proves that you can't come up with a reasoned argument against the facts I've presented. You've admitted defeat, and essentially acknowledged that you're wrong about this.

I really have enjoyed watching you crawl back time after time, trying to convince me you're right, when you obviously know you're wrong. I wouldn't bother with this, except you're such an obnoxious dick that it's a pleasure to beat you down again and again.

  • @RSLindsay What facts? I'm not even debating you, idiot! This isn't a debatable topic, the fact is that that is not what this song is about. I don't know how I can be any more clear that this song is about just enjoying life and nothing more -- no mater what nonsense you want to insert between the lines.

"As with every minute going by, things can improve and become better" - what on earth does that have to do with conformity? This is utter nonsense.

  • @michaelwuzthere Sorry I couldn't respond to this right away, but it was T'giving yesterday and I had to meet some friends for Chinese food.

You're right. You're *not* debating me. You're repeating the same things over and over again. That isn't debating.

The fact is, the 70's Soviet govt never let *anything* on TV unless it promoted Commie ideas. "Things can improve and become better" in this context means "Yes, life is bad in USSR, but it'll get better if you conform to Soviet communism."

  • @RSLindsay You're a total idiot, you're very rude, and this nonsense is over.

  • @michaelwuzthere Well, I hope so, because your continued responses are getting pretty pathetic. Every time I present the facts, you come back at me with "Oh, YEAH?! Oh, YEAH?!"

And you call *me* rude? This started because you posted a rude response to me, claiming I'd lied about seeing this "Let It Be" parody on another video.

Arguing with you is like arguing with a burnt-out light bulb. But I've enjoyed whipping you time and again. It's been fun watching you make a fool of yourself here.

  • @RSLindsay Good trolling.

  • @michaelwuzthere You can call me a troll if it makes you feel better. But it doesn't change the fact that (a) you're wrong about the purpose of this video, and (b) you're an obnoxious jerk.

The fact that you post this many responses over a silly YT video -- trying to prove to me, I still don't know what -- means you can't or won't admit it when you're wrong. You refuse to give in, even as you keep making a fool of yourself.

Me? I just enjoy torturing idiots like you with the truth.

  • @RSLindsay Like I said, good trolling.

  • @michaelwuzthere

What's the song about? Is it basically the same thing?

  • @RudeDan Pretty much the same message, just without religious reference.

  • @michaelwuzthere

You know what the best source of anti-Communism is?

    Communism itself!

  • @TheCanadianPrairies My guess is that you do not know what communism is.

  • @michaelwuzthere

My guess is that you're a typical revisionist who can't handle the fact that Communism failed miserably. I bet you've got some handy "hurr durr you are ebil capitalist right winger" rhetoric waiting for me, don't you?

Communism is its own enemy. History shows Communism wasn't any better then the capitalists and imperialists it sought to oppose.

    Hence, my comment.

It's time to move on and find new ideas to fix the system.

  • @TheCanadianPrairies If you want to argue with yourself, go right ahead.

  • @michaelwuzthere

Don't blame me for anticipating the typical responses of most Communists like yourself.

  • @TheCanadianPrairies Communism was worse than the imperialists it tried to oppose! If anyone bothered to read not only the history or STalinism, but also the stuff written by those who came into contact with these totalitarians at the time (Orwell and Koestler come to mind),they would know this. There is some 'faith' in the idea of equality that still connects some people emotionally to the idea of communism, long after the system devolved to its logical conclusion and passed on its lessons.

  • @DoctorBohr

I just find it laughable that people think Communism was any better then the 'imperialists' it claimed to oppose and even moreso that they think it can fix the system they whine about so much, when all it will do is make things worse for us all.

I could go on, but this sums my views up really.

  • I guess this was from the 70s ," Back in the USSЯ "

  • @satualm I think it's from the mid-80's, despite the song being much older.

  • I am sorry, but cannot understand the meaning of the performance.

Je suis désolé, mais ne peux pas comprendre la signification de la performance.

Mir tut es leid, aber kann die Bedeutung von der Aufführung nicht verstehen.

    申し訳ありませんが、パフォーマンスの意味が理解できません。

  • Fucking Commie bastards

  • ahahahahhahaahhahahahahahahahah

  • scary creepy soviet shit...

  • Nice to see Margret Thatcher did her bit for international relations.

  • Don't watch this when you're high. Scared the shit outta me.

  • DEATH BY MUSIC

  • "It will be"

Does "Let it be" not translate or something?

  • "Put it back, Put it back"

  • better than the Beatles

  • порнография какая-то

  • Let It Be - played backwards.

  • creee payyyy

  • @RusNad - Будет Так (Budet Tak)

  • Guten Tag!

  • I feel like coming to become a communist

  • Fucking shame // ебанный стыд

  • @MrXealus исполнение гениально, англичанка в пролёте!

  • Лютый ад

  • OMG!

  • sounds like "put it back" to me

  • all this soviet propaganda stuff looks so ''happy'' yet so somber.. very '1984' scenario

  • I think they changed the words as well. A subtitled version would be good

  • @jamesantell yeah the soviet version is all about "everythings the same, no one is different, everything will be the same" a bunch of brain washing crap

  • 1:34 AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • browsing different tv clips from ussr. thought keeps crossing my mind that they're all what pbs would look like if it had an unlimited budget. i don't suppose thats a coincidence.

  • It's better than the Popeye Opera singer cover.

  • BUDDHIST DUCK!!!

  • 1:00 interupted by the kids. The wedding people are the creepiest.

  • At 1:33 the girl sings an extra part.

  • Horrible.

  • ЛОХИ какието

  • I'm the kid in the group in this song, trully I am....

  • I'm the kid in thegroup in this song, trully I am....

  • Russian illuminati brain washing propoganda :S damn to ILLUMINATI....

  • I believe the chorus says "It WILL be" rather than "Let it be".

  • @Terror405 No, it says something like it will always be like this

  • This version is little strange but I like it.

  • Was this a translation or did they make the lyrics all pro-communist like they did with other songs?

  • @gracexxface

The lyrics is changed, but sense of a song not communistic, but same generalized, as well as at Beatles. In this case here it is sung that the person never can guess with whom he will fall in love because human heart is unpredictable.

  • @gracexxface It's a translation that says "these are the words of wisdom - 'so it will be'" about how beautiful life can be with opportunities to do pursue your dreams without being anxious for the future or clinging to the past.

  • This is horrible. What makes this so obscene is that the KGB made life miserable for Beatles fans in the Soviet Union. So they create their own little bastarized version of it. Did they bother to seek permission from the Beatles so they can get their royalties? Of course not, property rights didn't mean a damn thing to the commies.

  • @chigal09 So right you are! The modern day equivalent would be like the Bush administration having the West Point men's chorus sing Won't Get Fooled Again by The Who.

  • @chigal09 Life in the USSR was beautiful. Don't believe your American propaganda that says everyone lived in a police-state. There was no oppression on people who liked western music and culture (mostly because less than .1% of the population had any interest whatsoever), our media promoted and preserved the culture of our republics because US imperialism was destroying people's cultures around the world and we didn't want it.

The idea of someone owning a song as property - what insanity!

  • did the kids say we like geese at 1:30

  • The worst cover

  • Well it's obvious that the Beatles stole the Soviets' vastly superior songwriting technyolozky.

  • BUJISTAK!!!! OR Будет так

  • Lmao

  • Clearly the Soviet's didn't have dentists? HAHAHAHAH I LOVE THE GUYS FACE at 1:20 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

  • russians are fukin weird

  • Clearly drugs weren't banned in the Soviet days...

  • Dobry den Russia :)

  • Wow, it's excellent in Russian!!

  • There are five people who disliked this.

There are five out of 65 people with no soul.

  • I'd rather have Russians singing "Let It Be" than"Let's Bomb the US" Frankly, I liked it. I love the way their voices resonate....and I like the "wink wink" humor...I

  • Maudite tarte :)

  • Похоже, это бенефис Гурченко

  • Naturally, the audience of that show knew that this was a remake of Beatles. The refrain ("Budet tak") is the approximate translation of the refrain "Let It Be".

  • пиздец блять...

  • @I1am1one huynya!!!

  • Actually, the USSR gets full credits for making this video.

  • In Russian, it translates into "It will be this." Typical soviet oppression!

  • @Konwashere What the f''' are you talking about?!?!?!?! It is a song about love!

  • This can't be serious. Maybe it was performed as a sketch on a Soviet version of Saturday Night Live. I guess they had no dentists in the USSR.

  • In Soviet Russia... IT lets YOU be!

  • @mikepalomino is good to know how the RWJ fans are all over youtube (:

  • is there a translation (i saw the shortened video, but i want the full one)

  • @outriggerskier2 The translation would be the original lyrics of Let it Be.

  • Yet another reason to nuke Russia as soon as possible.

  • @jonesy97 Russia will nuke you first

  • This video, along with Edward Khail's Trololo, demonstrate the wonders of Soviet entertainment.

  • Первым поёт Валентин Никулин, затем Вахтанг Кикабидзе и Людмила Гурченко.

Съёмка, вероятно сделана в конце 70-х, начале 80-х годов.

    В общем, красиво, спасибо!

  • Made cry blood (but in a good way)

  • BACK IN THE USSR. ARF. ARF.

  • Fucking wonderful

  • some of these Volshebnyy fonar clips are just like Jesus Christ Super Star movie

  • Quite possibly the best thing i have ever seen.

  • seriously, what is it with 1:21?

  • @vforvegard Looks like he's crossing his eyes.

  • omg hahahaha! Fuckin hilarious! Poor Beatles.. 1:36 ugly teeth!

lol but I still love the video! I'm laughing my ass out here! xD

  • Valentin Nikulin. He was a great actor.

  • I love when the kids sing. Like seriously. And AP Euro for the win!

  • This is from the movie Volshebnyy fonar, 1974.

  • An atmosphere of the socialism is full loading in this song.

  • The first 4 seconds of this video make all of it so worthwhile.

  • Gotta hand it to those commies... they knocked it out of the ball-park with this one!!

  • Thanks for sharing! Saw a clip of this in History lesson. It was so intriguing that I've spent all evening looking for the full version :)

  • Same! I love their teeth. Dental care in the USSR appears to be superb

  • I saw the same clip as well, my history teacher quickly told us it was one of his favorites. :D

Did you see it in an episode of "People's Century"?

  • Lol, the same exact thing applies for me. Yes, I saw it in "People's Century." AP European class.
