@VanilaCracker Oh, well I don't know about the I777 but I'm using the international version and it *is* oleophobic. Any smudges that do appear though are temporary and go away with normal usage.
@others: OK so it may not my 100% scratchproof but for my usage habits it does the job (I use it indoors most of the time, away from sand. Also I take care that there is no dust or debris on the screen before using the device). I just hate any screen guard/case etc coming in the way of using a device.
@dextersgenius mine got scratched slightly due to dust and sand(GS2).. Searched in xdaforum then came to know tht gorilla glass has not scratch proff its scratch resistent so guys put good screen guard..
You don't need a screen protector for the SGSII.. it's got gorilla glass with oleophobic coating, so it doesn't get scratched or smudged. I've been using my phone for more than a month now and the screen is mint - and I also share my pocket with my key and coins; yet there are no scratches. Check out gorilla glass videos on YouTube, you can even use it as a chopping board and there will be no scratches on it!
@dextersgenius I don't know what you're talking about but my SGSII I777 gets smudges all the time... I've had the thing for 3 months and although the screen is very resilient to scratches (I've never been stupid enough to put it in a pocket with keys or coins), it gets finger prints like non other. It annoys me when I have to clean it every night with a microfiber cloth. That's why I'm looking into the Oleophobic, and if possible, ultra optic screen protectors. BOI!!
hey i got the ultra crystal and it came with this little part to cover the home button as well but know i dont know how to remove it, could you hlp me out? thanks =)
It's been a month since this review, Could you tell us if you still like it? I mean, does it still work, isn't it dirty or something, scratches? Thanks :D
@Ubuntu3011 I've since removed it however before I did I noticed no scratches but the oil which built up was rather tough to clean off. Certainly possible but just a hassle. Still highly recommended.
@mrploone mmmh I think I could go with that. How hard was it to clean, like, could you just use your shirt for that? I'd surely prefer to clean some oil rather than having a scratch on the screen :P
@Ubuntu3011 I just saw your video about this issue when the phone is charging, that the touchscreen may not response properly... I usually use the phone when charing, so that's a problem... I don't think I could live with that :(
@nihondroid It's the little things that matter, when I first saw these I thought I'd never use them but they do come in handy! Thanks for subscribing, greatly appreciated
@nihondroid some scotch tape does the same thing, at least that's what i used when I put on the screen protector on my iphone and it worked fine. you just have to make sure it's a scotch tape that strong enough to pull up the screen protector, if the tape is too weak it wont work

I really could have used one of those dust removal stickers when I tried to apply a screen protector for the first time. lol
