when i saw the part of the eppy when he kiddnapped liv, i was so shocked and then when el found the place and robin was like "press the button" and el said he couldn't and then when liv "screamed"-i thot it was real-but it wasn't~and that part was just so E/O perfect! :-) i loved this eppy-one of my faves of s9! plz reply if ya agree.........

This was such an intense episode. The whole "Push the button" thing I was like "Omg!" and my friend was like "Seriously dude, calm down".

But no. Very good ep.

The end was very ambiguous which was a bit of a let down but whatever.

Still a very fabulous episode with amazing acting from all.

I agree with you. Robin is such an amazing dramatic actor. He is one actor I want to be like in 10 years. Whether on a show like Law & Order: SVU or in movies like Good Will Hunting and Dead Poets Society. Robin Williams is one of the most talented people in the business today.

I don't think you can get any better an episode than this one. And well the standards were high considering this was the 200th episode. Robin was nominated for an Emmy for this role and I was very upset that he did not win.

As the detectives prepare to arrest their victim turned suspect, Benson arrives ahead of the other detectives to find their perp murdered and is crucified in court as a result of turning away one of his victims four years ago because she did not believe the report.

I absolutely LOVED this episode!!! I was fortunate enough to have stumbled across this particular one since I only watch the reruns on USA.

Anyway, I was blown away the entire time that I watched. From Robin William's performance (reminiscent of his acting in One Hour Photo), the reference to the Milgram experiment & how it was integrated into the entire episode, and for Stabler not turning into sheep... this has by far been the best episode I've seen of Law & Order SVU.

I'd say second, but it definitely made a lot of people realize how underrated Robin Williams is. Man, if he did more dramas instead of 10-cent comedies, the film industry would be ten times better than it is today.
