I gotta tell you a great story. The day before the launch, I had to have surgery on my jaw. When I got home a couple of days later, I was in so much pain, but then I saw my PS3 on my bed: my mom had gotten it for me. Since I couldn't smile because of the pain, I just cried tears of joy instead. Mom getting me the PS3 as a reward for enduring my oral surgery was one of the greatest moments of my life.

Plus I was about to graduate high school so it was a graduation present as well!

honestly, ps2 games actually look bad on an hdtv. i got my ps3 hooked up with an hdmi cable and still it looks bad. have you seen RE4 on ps2, it was gorgeous, then play it on hd then it gets all pixelated and stuff. try the smoothing option and it still does that.

I could do without SD card slots because I know I would never use them.

I could also go with two USB ports instead of four because that's all I really need.

The only thing that bothers me is that they removed the chrome finish and replaced it with a flat silver plastic or something.
