I have this TV. I got it two years ago at Brandsmart. They had it for $1600. No way was I gonna pay that. The display model was in perfect condition for $1150. The problem is I only had $970 to spend.
I could tell the store clerk was eager to sell me the TV. He was about to let me go, when he said, let me go talk to my manager. I saw them talking and pointing. The manager gave me a thumbs up. The store clerk said, yeah we can do $970. So I got a great deal on it. Games look fantastic on it!
i need help. my sharp aquos is 1080p (of course) but when i go into analogue tv it says in the right hand corner subtitles off language english and video :576 how do i get it to 1080p? and on my ps3 i got HDMI lead and then put it to 1080p max resolution, but would it actually be 1080p if my tv for some reason is 576i? please help someone
That's because the broadcast you are receiving is in 576 interlaced. The main methods for getting true 1080p resolution is through blu ray discs, although certain video games and video files can also be in 1080p. Your tv is capable of displaying a 1080p picture, but since the source isn't 1080p it's being presented in its native resolution.
My brother has the sharp aquos lc37dw99u TV and has a problem with the colors on videos and xbox, the colors are not blending correctly, (on a shadow of a foot of a person walking you would see a green cloud) does anyone have this problem also? message me
i got my LG lcd 42" full hd 1080p with 3x hdmi ports..55000:1 contrast...for 650 euro...like 750 dollars..he only recommends this tv because he made a stupid overpriced buy
I have this TV as well, bought it almost a half a year ago and I do agree with you. It plays my Blue Ray, PS3 and standard dvd's through the enhancements of the PS3 beautifully.
There is a very noticable difference in quality from the sides with all LCD's, and my tv is mounted on the wall of my media room with the couch right in front of it and computer desk/chair to the right of the unit. So it's all about location and direction for that issue, it doesn't bother me since I'm always front view.
you forgot to mention the Banding Issue. LOL. Sharps suffer a lot from BANDING. I also plan on getting a Sharp for my Room. In my living room i have a Sony Bravia.
I've got 47"

Stumbled across your video, glad to hear some input on an Aquos tv. Looking to get my first HDTV pretty soon so I've been doing a lot of research.
