  • How can anyone dislike this video? Even if you dislike Reagan, the Republicans, or the US, you must admit that this is a very powerful speech.

  • good speach

  • President Reagan makes me want to be a Statesman and Politician

  • Four people don't like this speech? They must be Nazis, cowards, or both.

  • @JAG312 The Four people who dont like this speech are either Nazis, Cowards, Liberals or all of the above

  • Awesome, just freaking awesome!

  • Every time I watch this I tear up.

  • I love this man. I wish all the vets well on this coming memorial day. This President is gone now but he will never be forgotten by so many.

  • Reagan was so genuine, he got a bit choked up in the last few minutes talking about Pvt Zanatta(sp). A heartfelt speech from a leader this country will never see the likes of again.

  • god bless ronald reagan.

  • Americans are liberators not conquerers who came to return what was wrongfully seized. Sounds very different from "I know that in the past America has been arrogant". I wish we could have a President who loves America the way Reagan did.

  • THE President. Don't worry everyone, one has to go through a Carter before we get a Reagan.

  • See, he used notes written down, not a telepromter.

  • @1994dukey And he looked at the camera. You always felt like he was talking directly to you instead of a nation.

  • A man who believed what he was saying. He felt the emotion of the people there that day and the lives that were taken 40 years before.

  • Very moving speech

  • Not sure of the cause of my tears. It is either:a. Our former President's speech and His touching stories of our soldier’s and their families and the sacrifices paid not to mention the heroism of that fateful day. b. Remembering a time when we had a true leader serving as our President of the United States. c. Understanding that at this time in 2010 the number of surviving soldier’s of D-Day is shrinking. Teach your children about this day & our past. d. All of the above. I know the cause..d

  • Rest in peace Ronald Reagan I will always remember you.

  • What would Obama say?

  • Vive La France...eternal friend of the USA.

  • Ronald reagan was a true American hero. A total class act. One of the best presidents our country has ever known. He is my hero and how I wish our country had him now. We surely miss his decency, leadership and kindness today. The world and the country respected him and with good reason...he was firm but fair. He understood what being an American was all about. He commanded respect with reason and intellect. Thank you Ronald Reagan for everything. May this great man rest in peace.

  • Extraordinarily moving.

  • When Ronald Reagan walked up to a podium, America commanded respect.

  • Miss this president, he truly was the greatest American president next to FDR and Lincoln.

  • I miss you Ronnie, we're stuck with the lousy teleprompter Zerobama today... if only you could come back...

  • An incredibly moving speech delivered by america's greatest president.

If you are not in tears by the end of this speech you're either not an american or have a defect in your character.

    God bless Ronald Reagan!

  • At 6:31 is when the story gets personal, and if your not in tears, then you are not AMERICAN

  • You are a great American!

  • I thank God that I was born in 1977 so I could experience this Great Man as President. God Bless Ronald W. Reagan!!!

  • @tell302man Holy Crap....You mean there are more of us out there???? Geez if I say anything out in the open about how much President Reagan has inspired me I will get my head chopped off here in New Jersey where Liberals rule and Illegals run the show......

  • I don´t know if it´s true, but I heard he and Nancy prayed in private at a concentration camp, and that he cried silently when praying with Nancy.

  • And look what we have now, the Chicago community organizer. There are no words that express how much I miss Uncle Ronny.

  • Too bad, our school system don't teach the veteran as selfless hero that they are.

  • Look.... no teleprompter.

  • I believe President Ronald W.Reagan should be immortalized on Mount Rushmore, right next to President Abraham Lincoln.

  • Man do I miss this president!

  • Best president ever. No other president could make a speech like he did.

    We will never forget Normandy.

  • God bless President Reagan and the thousands of men who fought at Normandy.

  • i dont care which president is better, im english, and i sure now, this speech brought a tear to my eye, and you should all be proud.

  • In my heart of hearts I so miss this kind of leadership. This is a man who loved his country and believed in us. I am sure he wrote this speach himself and felt it in his very being.

  • I sure miss Reagan! Thanks for posting.

  • JFK: "Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty. This much we pledge—and more."

  • Is there a captioned version of this great video?

  • Thanks for posting this wonderful video Wyatt. It's so refreshing to see and listen to a real President again. Never have I been more concerned about our country then I am now. We really have a fight on our hands this time. Who would ever of thought that our most dangerous enemies would be from within our borders. Thanks again my friend.

  • I was never a supporter of Reagan, but I can never deny this wasn't a great speech and beautifully delivered.

  • Awesome video. Great Man! Talked about wonderful heroes who died for us. And then someone says that they were pons. (pawns) lol. What an idiot. Went to your website and found proof of your idiocy. Thank you Veterans for giving all of us our freedom. Pawns takes dictator with moves from D-Day June 6, 1944

  • Minor correction: They didn't give us our freedom; our freedom is God-given. They prevented others from taking it away.

  • Sdara, your ignorance is showing, its pawns and divide. obviously you're not an American citizen or educated. Stay where you are because you don't qualify to be a citizen fo the USA, We only speak the truth, as we know true freedom. These heros died preserving our Liberty.

  • sdara357 - pons = pawns.

Your mistake indicates your lack of education and, therefore, will not comment on your drivel.

Word of advice: Take Mark Twain's advice to heart.

" It's better to be silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and prove it.

  • It's not important what you thought child. What is important is what the men thought, stood for, and the sacrifices they made.

For you do dishonor them is inconceivable. Obviously you are not an American with a sense of sacrifice but rather a "give me" because I deserve it.

Sacrafice without question. These men were heroes and always will be.

  • Oh, how much I miss President Reagan. A truly GREAT man and a class act of epic proportions. The contrast to our current "leader" is so gigantic as to almost defy description.

God Bless all our soldiers, past and present, and God Bless President Reagan.

  • America has voted for a president who is the exact opposite of this great man. What are we thinking??? Anyone who speaks poorly of Reagan has no character.

  • This speech was given 25 years ago today...

  • This was a real spech, unlike the garbage we hear from our current disgrace of a president!

  • You're entitled to your disrespectful opinion only because of the men who died on that beach 65 years ago. Shame on you for your disrespect to the dead.

  • it brings tears to my eyes to think of the sacrifice we have made for other countries. President Reagen says it best. it shames me that barack obama feels we are war mongers and occupiers, not liberators.

  • Right on everyone. When he speaks I feel like the essence of our forefathers is still with us.

  • Without question, one of the greatest leaders the world has ever known. Thank you President Reagan for making America great again.

  • One of our greatest Americans. This man was a leader. We miss him.

  • one of the best presidents to lead our country

  • Amazing.

  • The Best honoring the Best.

  • Amen.
