Reagan was so genuine, he got a bit choked up in the last few minutes talking about Pvt Zanatta(sp). A heartfelt speech from a leader this country will never see the likes of again.
Americans are liberators not conquerers who came to return what was wrongfully seized. Sounds very different from "I know that in the past America has been arrogant". I wish we could have a President who loves America the way Reagan did.
Not sure of the cause of my tears. It is either:a. Our former President's speech and His touching stories of our soldier’s and their families and the sacrifices paid not to mention the heroism of that fateful day. b. Remembering a time when we had a true leader serving as our President of the United States. c. Understanding that at this time in 2010 the number of surviving soldier’s of D-Day is shrinking. Teach your children about this day & our past. d. All of the above. I know the cause..d
Ronald reagan was a true American hero. A total class act. One of the best presidents our country has ever known. He is my hero and how I wish our country had him now. We surely miss his decency, leadership and kindness today. The world and the country respected him and with good reason...he was firm but fair. He understood what being an American was all about. He commanded respect with reason and intellect. Thank you Ronald Reagan for everything. May this great man rest in peace.
@tell302man Holy Crap....You mean there are more of us out there???? Geez if I say anything out in the open about how much President Reagan has inspired me I will get my head chopped off here in New Jersey where Liberals rule and Illegals run the show......
In my heart of hearts I so miss this kind of leadership. This is a man who loved his country and believed in us. I am sure he wrote this speach himself and felt it in his very being.
JFK: "Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty. This much we pledge—and more."
Thanks for posting this wonderful video Wyatt. It's so refreshing to see and listen to a real President again. Never have I been more concerned about our country then I am now. We really have a fight on our hands this time. Who would ever of thought that our most dangerous enemies would be from within our borders. Thanks again my friend.
Awesome video. Great Man! Talked about wonderful heroes who died for us. And then someone says that they were pons. (pawns) lol. What an idiot. Went to your website and found proof of your idiocy. Thank you Veterans for giving all of us our freedom. Pawns takes dictator with moves from D-Day June 6, 1944
Sdara, your ignorance is showing, its pawns and divide. obviously you're not an American citizen or educated. Stay where you are because you don't qualify to be a citizen fo the USA, We only speak the truth, as we know true freedom. These heros died preserving our Liberty.
Oh, how much I miss President Reagan. A truly GREAT man and a class act of epic proportions. The contrast to our current "leader" is so gigantic as to almost defy description.
God Bless all our soldiers, past and present, and God Bless President Reagan.
America has voted for a president who is the exact opposite of this great man. What are we thinking??? Anyone who speaks poorly of Reagan has no character.
You're entitled to your disrespectful opinion only because of the men who died on that beach 65 years ago. Shame on you for your disrespect to the dead.
it brings tears to my eyes to think of the sacrifice we have made for other countries. President Reagen says it best. it shames me that barack obama feels we are war mongers and occupiers, not liberators.
How can anyone dislike this video? Even if you dislike Reagan, the Republicans, or the US, you must admit that this is a very powerful speech.

An incredibly moving speech delivered by america's greatest president.
If you are not in tears by the end of this speech you're either not an american or have a defect in your character.
God bless Ronald Reagan!

I don´t know if it´s true, but I heard he and Nancy prayed in private at a concentration camp, and that he cried silently when praying with Nancy.

sdara357 - pons = pawns.
Your mistake indicates your lack of education and, therefore, will not comment on your drivel.
Word of advice: Take Mark Twain's advice to heart.
" It's better to be silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and prove it.
tothewestbetrue 2 years ago 5
It's not important what you thought child. What is important is what the men thought, stood for, and the sacrifices they made.
For you do dishonor them is inconceivable. Obviously you are not an American with a sense of sacrifice but rather a "give me" because I deserve it.
Sacrafice without question. These men were heroes and always will be.
