I remember singing this in my high school in 93 and it is so amazing how my choir teacher didnt change a beat we sung just like this. Til this day I still know it.
the beauty of this work of art is timeless...praise be to God for the dear men and women who give of their time and energy to sing the praises of our Lord...through this video, only time and eternity will ever know the blessings that have been spread..and the lives that have been changed.....thanks to each and every one,,Danny W. blessings and praise to the majestic Lord and God of the Universe....he is full of Life and Love and Greatness and He alone is the one to be praised with our voices and lives. I love you Lord.
Oh dear Aurora - you have it all wrong. First sopranos in a choir LIVE for songs like this. It gives us a chance to soar and send all our hearts to the heart of God!
Absolutely gorgeous. I would have preferred a faster tempo though. Sopranos have a really nice tone on the high B flat. And a chilling low E flat from the basses. Really nice. ;)
It's so good to see such a great work performed so well by a large group of musicians... who haven't ditched "traditional" church music. There are so many "horror" stories around about churches that ditched everything that wasn't P&W. Way to go folks!
Especially for a church choir, this is just an awesome rendition. The only downer: The tempo! Speed it up!
Love the smiler on the crescendo - everybody oughta give that a try. Also love the conducting style. -Wonderful instrumentation and vocal blend, and balance with the instruments - they don't overpower.
Played that song today, I get chills everytime I play it!
