Gordian Knot was a Knot that Alexander the Great tried to solve. Others say that he solved it, others that he broke it with his shord. Ome thing is true, this Knot was too complex to be solved, and this band is so difficult to understand. All we can do is relax and listen to their masterpieces, not try to say "why" they made them.
i seen concert Martie Friedman Live in Japan with Ron Jarzombek. offc Ron did better job then Marty. Jarzombek is my favorite artist and i know everything about him, so u know, maybe thats i dont like Marty :P
You wouldnt regret to buy her CD i listend to it like over 30 Times and its very hard to get bored of it
The musicians are very good like i said they are Wayne Krantz a sick Fusion Jazz guitarist that has his very own unique Style and Keith Carlock a very good Jazz drummer who hits the drum very hard for a Jazzer but i really like his style
And Tal Wilkenfeld with her warm and funky Bass sound
jazz metal ??pedazo de capullo tiene mas influencias como el folk,la musica clasica y demás estilos soburro no atribuyas al jazz meritos que no le son!
Wow, after listening to Cynic, Aeon Spoke, Aghora, and the rest of Gordian Knot, you can actually start to hear where Masvidal's influence comes into a song as opposed to Malone's style. All I can say is: ORGASMIC.
I read an interview with Malone, he said that "Some Brighter Thing" and "Singing Deep Mountain" represents 75% of the musical part in the Emergent album. I think it's really true!!! these two songs are exremely melodic
Dude, this is really good. Don't know much about this band, just that one of my favorite guitar players in the world (Ron Jarzombek) plays/played in it. Sick!
Is John Myung playing the Chapman Stick in that song? It sounds a lot like him.

Tony Levin also sounds like that when he plays the Chapman stick

How the hell this isn't a world wide hit?
yurypf 8 months ago
@yurypf
Are you really serious about that question ?
Here are the reason why this is no Hit:
Its longer then 4 Minutes, There are no vocals on It, Its Jazz / Metal NO POP music
IT has no catchy chorous Melody that stuck in your Head
Zappafan1980 6 months ago
@Zappafan1980
And that's just what's sad about my question.
