  • Is John Myung playing the Chapman Stick in that song? It sounds a lot like him.

  • @DTBeyondThisLifeDT

Tony Levin also sounds like that when he plays the Chapman stick

    It could be everyone

  • @DTBeyondThisLifeDT lol? i prefer you to buy this cd and check cover. im happy holder one of this :D

  • @ktyczynski I asked who plays the chapman stick and not who's got the CD. So would you be so kind and tell me if it's John or not?

  • The ending of this song is amazing.

  • I've had both Gordian knot albums for years true experimental art;most who like this will also appreciate Panzer Ballet another favorite of mine.

  • Gordian Knot was a Knot that Alexander the Great tried to solve. Others say that he solved it, others that he broke it with his shord. Ome thing is true, this Knot was too complex to be solved, and this band is so difficult to understand. All we can do is relax and listen to their masterpieces, not try to say "why" they made them.

  • WOW. fucking mind-blowing

  • 1:18 to 1:37 :B

  • Bruford's snare is unmistakeable.

  • i seen concert Martie Friedman Live in Japan with Ron Jarzombek. offc Ron did better job then Marty. Jarzombek is my favorite artist and i know everything about him, so u know, maybe thats i dont like Marty :P

i love Allison Mack she is so cute :P

  • @ktyczynski

Ron Jarzombek is CRAZY he s like the Steve Vai of Progressive Metal

his Spastik Ink and Blotted Science Stuff has to most progressive guitar Riffs i ever heard in my Life

his Brother on the Drums is also Godlike

Man and they make such music since 1992 ( Watchtower i dont know )

The Bambi Instrumental Spastik Ink made is genius its called a Hare Tale or a Hare story

  • @Zappafan1980 if u like him check PHHHP album and Solitarily Speaking of Theoretical Confinement.

ye Bobby Jarz is so sick. i dont believe how he playing!!!

  • ohh this Hiromis!!! i heard her others projects. she is so awsome. if u rly like it check her duo with Chick Corea, u will love it.

  • A bit more going on, but reminds me of Bozzio, Levin and Stevens (Black Light Syndrome).

  • How the hell this isn't a world wide hit?

  • @yurypf

Are you really serious about that question ?

Here are the reason why this is no Hit:

Its longer then 4 Minutes, There are no vocals on It, Its Jazz / Metal NO POP music

IT has no catchy chorous Melody that stuck in your Head

  • @Zappafan1980

And that's just what's sad about my question.

  • @yurypf

Check out my Favorite Bands IF you not Allready know them

Hiromis Sonicbloom (a modern Jazz Band with AMAZING musicians)

Freak Kitchen ( They make Progressive Thrash Metal ) and the guitarist is VERY good he s like the Steve Vai of Metal

Racer X is a Heavy Metal / Hard Rock Band with Paul Gilbert

And of course the Man Frank Zappa but its obvious ; )

  • @Zappafan1980 about Freak Kitchen, i heard them and im not like this, but theyre guitarist (Mattias Eklundh) is so fucking freek and awsome.

Racer X is the best Pauls project tbh,

and i didnt heard about Hiromis Sonicbloom, but im checking it now.

  • @ktyczynski

Well that you know Freak Kitchen and Racer X tell me you have a very good and wide spread music Taste

I guess you will like Hiromis Sonicbloom check the song Time Difference for example

    or the song IF

In my oppinion Hiromi is the best Jazz piano player in the planet right know

i also love the Bass Player Tony Grey

  • @Zappafan1980 i heard almost everything tbh :P

ye i heard her few albums, and im rly like it.

no she is not. Chick is the best ;P

  • @ktyczynski

Hiromi was a Return to Forever Fan when she was like 12 : )

  • @Zappafan1980 lol my to and im still theyre fan :D

  • @ktyczynski

you might want to know that Hiromi Uehara made a CD toghether with Stanley Clarke and i believe some Ex Return to Forever drummer

Also check out a Bass Player girl named Tal Wilkenfeld, i really like the women she sounds like Jacko

Pastorious and played with Jeff Beck and Chick Corea at the age of 23

I own her Solo CD Transformation its really good Jazz with cool musicians

  • @Zappafan1980 ye i hear about this girl few time, but never check her more and ill now.

  • @ktyczynski

You wouldnt regret to buy her CD i listend to it like over 30 Times and its very hard to get bored of it

The musicians are very good like i said they are Wayne Krantz a sick Fusion Jazz guitarist that has his very own unique Style and Keith Carlock a very good Jazz drummer who hits the drum very hard for a Jazzer but i really like his style

And Tal Wilkenfeld with her warm and funky Bass sound

  • @Zappafan1980

    ill check her for sure.

i seen ure profile, Megadeth <3 good taste ;)

  • @ktyczynski

ha ha i started to get into Megadeth 2 days ago

I wanted to learn about Marty Friedmans Band history

But yeah i actually like them more then Metallica and i think that war between Megadeth and Metallica fans is stupid

The Real enemy is Justin Bieber. Lady Ga Ga and Jennifer Lopez a. k. a Pop music

Pop music got horrible since 1998

My Fav guitarists are Paul Gilbert & Kiko Loureiro

  • @Zappafan1980

nah Marty Friedman is bad guy :P i rly dont like him. he is something like bad version of Paul G. and he sounds like pedo rock :P

yep there is no pop music anymore. what do you wanty from Jennifer? she have nice tits :P

  • @ktyczynski

Have you seen the Songs Ripped and Give Me a Dose by Marty Friedman where Ron Jarzombek is on second guitar ?

If you dont like them, thenyou might really not like him : )

No Jennifer Lopez is not the Kind of women i like, i like Keira Knightly, Kirsten Dunst, Cristina Applegate

    Christina Ricci in Sleepy Hollow

  • jazz metal ??pedazo de capullo tiene mas influencias como el folk,la musica clasica y demás estilos soburro no atribuyas al jazz meritos que no le son!

  • imo, jazz metal is the logical endgame of rock music

  • who's playing bass?

  • @luridtoons Sean Malone

  • holy shit every musician listed in the description is fucking awesome this better be good

  • I wish people would stop comparing this stuff to orgasims, all you have to say is it has a lot of atmosphere jeez...

  • @munruthel1 or atmospheric giz

  • Wow, after listening to Cynic, Aeon Spoke, Aghora, and the rest of Gordian Knot, you can actually start to hear where Masvidal's influence comes into a song as opposed to Malone's style. All I can say is: ORGASMIC.

  • fuckkk orgasmic musicc wowowowowow

  • I read an interview with Malone, he said that "Some Brighter Thing" and "Singing Deep Mountain" represents 75% of the musical part in the Emergent album. I think it's really true!!! these two songs are exremely melodic

  • Is the same Malone that played in Aghora?

  • the ending climax sends shivers down my spine, completely amazing song

  • Wait, who else from Cynic played on this than Malone?

    Reinert? Gobel?

  • check on wikipedia

  • and Masvidal.

  • misvadal

  • masvidal*

  • Great song.

    5 X 5. . .

  • Dude, this is really good. Don't know much about this band, just that one of my favorite guitar players in the world (Ron Jarzombek) plays/played in it. Sick!

  • Yeah Ron truly is unbelievable but he didnt play on this album just the debut.

  • Ron is a god :]

  • Bruford goes metal. I love it.

  • hey this is actually pretty okay. I like.

  • That part from 1:00 to 1:37 is just so fucking sick!

  • aaah

this is one of the greatest song i've ever heard
