Bellissima.

  • @Perfidia4ever Scusami tanto ma nel definire robaccia Ram o Wild Life non sono d'accordo anzi preferisco molto più i concept album di Paul suonati ruvidamente e genuinamente da "McCartney" a "Wild Life" pieni di perle nascoste che quelli chiaramente commerciali come questo o "At the speed of sound"..anche questa canzone è troppo forzatamente arrangiata nonostante la sua bellezza..

  • This is a different mix , where do you have it from ?

  • @Oldiesfan1958 Single B-side version

  • Uno dei migliori pezzi di Paul, tutto è al posto giusto

  • Che canzone straordinaria. Qui Paul è fantastico. Ispirato come raramente gli capita, il refrein è bellissimo.

  • ¡¡¡hermosa!!!

  • Beautiful!!!! Amazing!!!!

  • One of his best albums ever, post 1970.

  • Ahhhh Paul is New World Order... Happiness in the homeland....

  • It is just me, or the chorus remembers the Lady Gaga's Judas' Chorus?

  • Its funny, I have this record...i think it sounds better with all the static and small glitches in it :3

  • @wickedchik96 I agree, and the vinyl sounds far far better than the remastered digital version too.

  • I have to say that this is a remix to some extent. It sounds great. In fact, I think I like it better than the original. How did you find this one?

  • wow. i can't believe i hadn't heard this one. beautiful

  • i have this on a B side think its Band on the run, i'll check

  • @scabbard1597 Band on the Run single? This should be on the U.S. release of Venus and Mars.

  • Just discovered this. Wonderful. I really have to buy Venus and Mars when it gets re-issued.

  • Paul always hits the notes perfectly, yet he can make his voice do so many things. From lead to harmony in The Beatles to these marvelous, creative tunes made with wife Linda in Wings. God gave Paul a wonderful gift. Paul, I love you for sharing your gift so beautifully.

  • Une merveille...

  • I am in love with this song...Why is Venus and Mars not on iTunes??

  • One of Linda's greatest harmonies @ 1:54

  • Takes me back to Utah 1975 good times with Debbie

  • McCartney does have a somber side. He's not always Mr. Happy.

  • kinda sad...

  • thiss is a great example of love in a song <3 paul ur amazing!!!! :D

  • One of my favourites from the album!!

  • This is AMAZING!

  • What kind of moron would dislike this song?

  • Comment removed

  • @maximino27 a moron who doesn't know real music

  • this was one of the first macca-songs I ever heard and I completely fell inlove with it...and him!! best album after RAM I say

  • One of my favourites of Paul's solo works. I love the note he hits on the second: "I can see the places /that we used/ to go to now"- he's wonderful.

  • ITS ALL ABOUT LOVE,,,Happiness In The Homeland"

  • "I Can See The Places That

We Used To Go To Now

    Happiness In The Homeland"

    My Eye Cries Out

    A Tear Still Born

    Misunderstanding

Love In Song - Love In Song

"..for you were in my song."

  • I still have the vinyl of this one - one of my favorite McCartney albums. Yet, only 1 song on it that was commercially successful (Listen to What the Man Said) - however, the entire album is loaded with GREAT music.

  • This is so beautiful it makes me cry. The man is an incredible poet and musician and there is no one like him on the planet. Love him!

  • Great little forgotten song.

  • How come nobody asks what he means about the "places we used to go to", now and "happiness in the homeland"...? The man seemed to have a really significant message to impart ..but all they want to hear is "live and let die'...and something with a beat to dance to.

  • omg i like this song

  • I bought this album (cassette) when it came out. This song 'reminded' me of Soviet Russia. (no, i have never lived in Russia). Mental imagery.

  • @rjpancerniCAUSA Really curious: why Soviet Russia especially if you've never lived in it? ;) Actually I was born and lived in Soviet Russia (or USSR) until its collapse and I really don't get what this beatiful song could have in common with this country

  • @BayStallion My mind 'connects' numbers with colors, people with music, songs with events, etc. It may have been the use of the word 'homeland'. It may have been the (guitar? or other stringed instrument) part at the beginning.

I had a mental image of a village surrounded by fields.

    No logical reasoning.

  • @rjpancerniCAUSA

    Look up "synesthesia." Really.

  • @marvy1118 Cool! That is me, thanks!

  • @rjpancerniCAUSA I didn't know if you already knew about it, so I'm glad to have helped.

  • @BayStallion People always associate Russia with "homeland"

  • Really Paul himself and the Beatles, are the gratest, each one and all as the beatles, I like the music and no one is better, we need give thanks to god to let us live in this century for ear his music.

  • I guess what I am trying to say is that he did good here on this piece.

  • alright, commiserate, not commerate

I personally worry for Paul, someone needs to after all

too many songs will be forgotten

    know what I mean?

    ok, maybe I am wrong

    know what I mean?

    damn

  • @JJJZANESVILLE2

Paul McCartney after the Beatles broke up is one of the most underrated musician I know... The only album people remember is Band on the Run. After that... Only tight fans know his music. And that music... is the finest music ever released.

I have been in one of his concerts 2 years ago. It was like, a beatles song: the whole crowd is like "Yeah!!!! WOHOOO!!!! YEAH!!!! ALL RIGHT!!! WE LOVE YOU PAUL!!!!"

a none beatles song: everybody's just standing there waving their hands.

  • Something I wonder about is when he dies. Everyone will be rushing up to commerate him. And this song won't be there.

  • I remember buying this recoerd in the 70s. It was the B side of Listen To What The Man Said. Fantastic. Thanks piggies!

  • One of his best post-1970 songs ever.

  • ...I forgot to remind those who love this classic, that McCartney is actually playing Bill Black's (Elvis Bass Player) standup bass that Linda bought him on this track...this is a terrific classic...it hurts my heart to listen to this song...

  • Very nice, one of my favourite meloncholy McCartney tunes.

Sounds like you caught this through a backing channel off the 5.1 surround version?

  • I'd forgot i much I loved this song!! :-)

  • I've heard this song but it was such a long time ago. Amazing. Why doesn't he sings these better songs

  • His finest stuff was never released... and this is one of my favorites.

  • @magicalmysterygirl I'm glad you like this so much :)

  • @magicalmysterygirl this was released.. i have the record of it

  • @magicalmysterygirl what do you mean?

  • @bruce369able I mean that his best songs were never singles.

  • Just discovered this song, its amazing.

  • happiness in the homeland!

  • Great song, it moves me man.
