Very good and gritty demo. It sounds very good from your Tele. I think I like it better than a Les Paul. Jimmy used his Tele and his Danelectro alot to record in the studio. Keep jammin!
hey, thanks! the guitar is an early 2000's American Fender Telecaster "Special." I have replaced the pick-ups (originally with Noiseless) with Fralin Blues Specials.
I've thought that tuning your guitar differently was neat and unique, but I've never liked it bc it makes it harder to play songs. I'm glad you have made this song into standard tuning. Thanks!
This is just awesome. I'm very impressed with your ingenuity, and drive to even consider learning this song in standard tuning. Page surely couldn't have envisioned there would be a person who would have the dexterity and skill to pull this off!
Skype is like $3 a month, everbody's got web cams these days, thank God for the porn industry. There shouldn't be any reason why you can teleconference guitar lessons. I'd be hitting you up, but I got my hands full with what you're showing me here!
hey, THANKS! Page is so brilliant, he's not going to be concerned about anybody with any dexterity to pull off Dancing Days in standard tuning.
as for teleconferencing guitar lessons, that could be the way to go in the near future. the technology is going to be too impressive to not engage lessons that way.
thanks again, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
@GuitarUTube Send Mr. Page a copy of your video, my bet is that he not only responds but gives you PRAISE, you engage the audience in the first few seconds - That's why.
I DO have a question! I'm trying to re-learn a tune I learned as a kid but only can remember the first measure or two: Shizzleman8 KingsBladeUSA name that tune (first jam) please?
He didn't know but couldn't have been kinder, I thought he was going to be mad at me for using his name!
Maybe it's the camera mic, but that sound is massive. Love it - Tele's are so underestimated for crunch. Please post a quick reply of pickups and amp/pedals. Thx
Well, you'll be surprised to know that the amp is a Peavey Audition Chorus with upgraded speakers (two 6-inch mid-range drivers), but that's it. No effects. The Telecaster has Fralin Blues Specials installed. I wanted a totally stripped-down approach to the videos.
I've always played this in open G tuning. Much easier to play and you get the right tone.

thanks, bro. Jimmy used the Tele on a lot of Zep tracks. The solo on Stairway was supposedly done on a Tele!
