  • Can someone please translate the Conversation at 1:40? Thanks!

  • @Seeker152 This is the conversation between that Saint and the singer:

    Saint :Hari,Hari

    Singer:How gifted I am

Saint:I have come to your house as a Guest why dont you welcome me?

Singer:Its not my house its to your house you have come

Saint:Why you talk to me like this ?Who you think I am?

Singer:Wont I recognize the one who is being the light of the lights, wonderful of the wonderful things, atom of all the atoms ,who is in all the places who has no limits my Lord Krishna?

  • A great singer, Growing damn stronger, Due to one murder, His life became harder, That voice stopped, His career flopped, O- God- What a tragedy, Died permanently melody. mvvenkataraman

  • What a wonder.... sound of pure grace, devotion and passion. I fell in love with this song. This is INDIA.

  • Fantastic!!! no words to explain the joy of listening this song....

  • ecstacy !1 Thy Name is M.K.T !!

subbu rathinam see us at movieraghas

  • I have just a while ago heard the similar song sung by Ghantasala in Telugu but true to Bharathiar's words (yaam arindha mozhigalilayae thamizh mozhiyai pol inidhengum kaanum) that song couldn't come anywhere near this Thamizh classic in sweetness.

Bharathiaar can't be wrong in many an instance and this is one such.

  • @tvsatellitedirect True, I too found the other song and felt the same. The composing, tone and Thyagaraja Bhagavathar's voice are totally bringing the feel. Just look at his face, it shows the real bliss like seeing God face to face. This life is missing in the other one. No offense to the other song, actor or music. It's just what I too feel.

  • excellent song

  • All time great. Remember my grandpa saying his friend singing at Coimbatore

  • womaniser turning into saint great thing in life

  • @srikanthanp

Krishna responds to his devotees in what ever relationship they look for in God.

There is a concept called bridal love in every religion. These Gopis were madly in love with Krisna, For there love he responded to them in that manner.

When Pandavas coducted Rajasuya yagna, Bhisma suggested to Dharmaraj that, Krishna was true bramchari. I humbly request you to read the scriptures before you offend somebody.

  • wow ....... what a great song is this.......... my ear never get fatigue to listen this song , in how many times it may be................. Thanks the person , who loaded this video here & hats off to the great MKT

  • This is the first movie in the history of Indian cinema that saw 3 Deepavalis in the same theatre. The film had a dream run of 110 weeks at the Broadway theater in Chennai. Not sure, how many know this.

  • @Sridhar38 is it thanks for the info.

  • Hell is a vile, abusive, disgusting concept. God buys love & loyalty with the threat of torture? A Gandhi, Teresa, Mandela would never think of torturing their enemies, whereas a Saddam, Hitler, Stalin would. This is the company that God keeps?

Karma & Rebirth is the better way, the non-violent way. You are not punished, nor are you simply forgiven because you begged enough. You are held accountable for your actions, You are reborn, given another chance to make amends.

  • What's interesting to me is that Gandhi ji (a Hindu), Mother Theresa (a Catholic), and Nelson Mandela (who was baptized a Christian in a Methodist church) all follow faiths that teach in their scriptures concepts of "hell", or "hellish states of consciousness". I too find hypocrisy in the world religions dichotomy-based notions of selfless spiritual love, coupled with a "vengeful" and "angry" Creator. Karma and Rebirth are spiritual concepts first found in the world's oldest religion, Hinduism.

  • @angelforfreedom The diff is that these people looked into their hearts to find God - although with reg to Gandhi, we Hindus don't threaten hell to non-followers. I am constantly asking religious people to put down their books - these books have become idols - & look for God within their hearts - then they would realize God cannot be running a torture chamber. Karma & Rebirth is the much better way, the logical, non-violent way.

  • Hinduism has no hell. Neither does does Buddhism. Christianity and Islam both do because they are derived from Judaism. This concept of hell is used as a disciplinary measure for humanity. I'm not sure whether the creators of those three religions meant for it to be that way and act as a producer of fear, but I can tell you that both the religions sprouting from India had no such thing. Gandhi himself is mostly recognized for his help in the liberation of India, not so much spiritually.

  • The Purana's delve into GREAT DETAIL of hellish realms and/or planets (ever hear of the Sanskrit word "Patala"??). However, in Saiva and Sakta advaita philosophies (Kashmir Saivism, Kaula, Lingayat, etc.) and dvaita-advaita philosophies (Saiva Siddhanta, Siddha Siddhanta, Pashupata Saivism, etc.) we perceive the loka's of the "hellish planets/realms" to be abstractions of consciousness we undergo when our awareness resonates in the 7 chakras below the muladhara chakra. Study your smriti, friend!

  • @angelforfreedom Are you seriously that dumb? How the hell can you frickin reincarnate but still have hell? That makes absolutely no sense....learn your religions. Stop reading texts......

  • Karma and Rebirth are not concepts of hell. There is nothing bad in rebirth. It is a learning process. God does not hate. He helps humanity learn.

  • I have now listened to this song 7 times consecutively whilst checking my e-mail. LOL!! Shakta's say that Lord Krishna has the same Shakti as Amman in Her form as Tripura Sundari (Kumari)....and I believe it because I am so drawn to hear this song all throughout my day. JAI SRI KRISHNA!!! :)

  • IS THIS TAMIL SONG? WHAT IS THE HELL IS THIS?????

  • @nainarahima Dear Nainarahima, I wish to say the following thing. You may like the song or not - it is your personal attitude - but never have a condemning attitude towards something which you don't like. Beware, our comments are read and absorbed by many and never try to create a bad attitude in them towards something which you don't like. There are so many who really enjoy their old times by listening to such old songs. Don't try to hurt their feelings by your cramming attitude.

  • Hello,

it's absolutely amazing! Sorry, I don't know the full name of the person who sings. From the comments I could only find an abbreviation MKT. Grateful if you could give me the full name!

  • MK.Thiyagaraja bhagavathar

  • And he's the actor himself.

  • Maayaavaram Krishnamuurthy Thyaagaraaja Bhaagavathar

  • Try the same song in telugu. Its excellent!

  • Yes, I have listened to it...Ghantasalagaaru was indeed inspired by MKT.

  • cool so cool

  • Gopala, I submit to you! How divine the voice that praises you Lord!

  • MKT's lovely rendering of the song with his inimitably harmonious and elevating 'sruti suddham' [purity of pitch preserved in every note] and fine envelope of briga overtones is something of a lesson for even master musicians of Carnatic system.

  • Thanks for giving these great collections
