There were two episodes, one with the japanese demon and the other with the demonic tree, that had the most involving and emotional music ever! I still remember after all these years! Great Dan Jones!

You can buy a box set of this (3 dvd's) at rareuktv.net...............hap­py viewing everyone. Actually, if the BBC has any sense they will try to get Richard Coyle and Samantha Janus signed up for another series at some point as this was a great series that would have been much bigger but for irregular scheduling.

yea you can by it at rareuktv.net, but i recomend that you dont. When mine came through today- the Pilot disc was Disc2, Disc 2 was Disc 1, And Disc 1 was the Pilot........... Also the entire Pilot episode was in f.ing BLACK AND WHITE.

I loved this show when I was younger, it's so good to watch it again.

I don't get why the idiots at the bbc don't just archive stuff like this on iplayer in the same way that channel 4 do with 4od. If they're not going to release a dvd they might as well make it available to watch online at least.

Thank you so much for posting this. I didn't see the pilot originally - just fell headlong for the series. I love all the cast, but this episode was even more perfect for having Bryan Dick as Toby.

Just had a look on wikipedia for you and there were six episodes following this pilot, so seven episodes in total. Don't know if the entirety of the series is avaliable on here and I don't think it ever got released on DVD.
