Wow! This was an amazing documentary! There was so much in this that reminded me of my own spiritual studies! (Kabbalah, Judaism, etc.) And isn't amazing, that through music, and a real, communal search for Truth & Light... how easy it is for people of all backgrounds & faiths to come together, and basically all serve the SAME God! Not different ones! It's quite amazing!

I hope that the more extremist voices in Islam will be silenced one day, and that they'll find themselves on the Sufi path!

Why, then, do peaceful, tolerant Sufis need a non-Muslim presenter to plead their case? If Sufis are the face of "peaceful" Islam, LET THEM SHOW IT!

@tjb70 Come and see where Sufis live, or where Sufi Sheikh have moved to live! Sufis don't put their cases forward, neither they plead it! :) Its not that way to be pleaded, but to be moved on and experienced!

i believe this documentary will cloud orthodox muslims views on sufism, this does not portray sufism for what it actually is. Sufism is more based around the pillars of islam and follows the rules and principles set down by the Prophet (may peace be upon him).

i got 2 b honest, i always felt attracted 2 sufism since i was little, its very nice and mellow and all that, but its wrong, its not really Islam, though sufism came from Islam, like the Shia, it is now something far from Islam. The Music, Poems,Love,Stories and legends of sufism maybe appealing, but its all wrong.

Or maybe because Sufism appeals to the divinity within you . Buddha once said do believe anything, just because it is said. Or written in religious text books etc.. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it. Funny thing this is said by all those found god or already born into this world as god. The Enlightened ones. Krishna Jesus Buddha Rumi list goes on..

You have to remember that is a westernised view of a very fundamental and intrinsic Islamic Tradition which is based on Quran and Sunnah, regardless of the wobblers have to say. This series displays the fact there are mroe sufis than wobblers as Sufi are THE true/original muslims!!!! May ALLAH may put everyone on the sufi path

I liked Sufism's key values of tolerance,pluralism, and spirituality, I'm a Muslim and I highly respect these people because their tolerant and they don't impose their interperatation of Islam on people like the 'cough' Wahabis 'cough'.

I appreciate the focus on internal betterment, the beautiful poetry and music from sufism but backwards practices of praying at graves and others are influenced by other religions (hinduism,etc) and are outside islam. the 'values' you mention exist in islam anyway but your comment implies otherwise and seems uninformed. loving god and seeking peace on earth are what we strive for but why distort the original message to fulfil ulterior motives?

Sufism is based on the purification of the heart. Nothing in Sufism is out of the Qur'ahn. Sufi's are very lively people!
