He is very gifted at reading people and talking to them-how he won all those malpractice suits. George Miller sponsored legislation twice in the NC senate that would have created a fund for ALL NC families that were victims of medical malpractice -- not just the ones with potentially large settlements that Edwards and other trial lawyers like him were selective in taking. Edwards fought against it arguing that awards would be limited so as to provide for the fund. It would have helped a lot of people, not just greedy lawyers like Edwards who fought against it.
