Although I liked both versions of the movie, I like the Burton version better. Closer to the book, better acting (Especially from the child actors), and yes, much better songs. Rather than the same repetitive Oompa song over and over again, it's so awesomely mixed and shows what a talented, versatile composer/ songwriter Danny Elfman is.
