I went to the Downtown Eastside in August 2008, I was probably there not for more than half an hour, but it had the most profound impact on me. Like yourself, if I lived in Vancouver proper, I would've definitely voted against the games.
I just love the fact that because Johnny can run faster than Billy, we have to spend all this money to house these "Olympians" and increase homelessness - way t'go Canada!
