Floyd was fighting at JWW in early 2005 and moved up to WW in late 2005. At that time Oscar was coming off 2 fights at MW and only came back down to JMW in 2006. Floyd had 3 fights at WW in 2005 and 2006 and won the title then moved up to JMW in 2007 to fight Oscar.
@Adebay0r SO i am not sure when you expected floyd to fight Oscar. Did you expect floyd to move 3 divisions straight from JWW to MW in 2005? Pac would not even move up one division to fight Oscar, he made Oscar come to 147 lbs, at least floyd met him at 154 lbs and was 17 lbs ligher in the ring as opposed to pac who outweight Oscar by 1.5 lbs.
Pac moved up 2 weight divisions to fight Oscar, while Oscar moved down weight division. and he didn't "make" oscar go down in weight, oscar was the one that chose pac as his last opponent b/c he believed pac was a much smaller man, which he's not. it only made sense for the both of them to meet at welterweight. to be quit honest tho, i dont think either floyd's or manny's win was credible - oscar was wayyy out of his prime for both of them.Respond to this video...

It was Floyd who reqiested a fight with oscar and it was Arum who refused to make the fight happen because Arum will not deal with Golden Boy. That is the reason Floyd left Arum in the first place was to make the Osacar fight happen.

@Adebay0r I am not sure how much boxing history you know but it seems you are basing your opinions on teh same inaccurate internet rumors that Pac fans seem to repeat.
Floyd was fighting at JWW in early 2005 and moved up to WW in late 2005. At that time Oscar was coming off 2 fights at MW and only came back down to JMW in 2006. Floyd had 3 fights at WW in 2005 and 2006 and won the title then moved up to JMW in 2007 to fight Oscar.

Pac would not even move up one division to fight Oscar, he made Oscar come to 147 lbs, at least floyd met him at 154 lbs and was 17 lbs ligher in the ring as opposed to pac who outweight Oscar by 1.5 lbs.

Pac moved up 2 weight divisions to fight Oscar, while Oscar moved down weight division. and he didn't "make" oscar go down in weight, oscar was the one that chose pac as his last opponent b/c he believed pac was a much smaller man, which he's not. it only made sense for the both of them to meet at welterweight. to be quit honest tho, i dont think either floyd's or manny's win was credible - oscar was wayyy out of his prime for both of them.Respond to this video...

As for Cotto, it was Arum who kept Cotto away from Floyd. When Cotto move dup it was his own peopel who said he was not ready for Floyd. Even the boxing writers at the time scoffed at the idea of Floyd/Cotto.

Pac's ring weight was 148.5 against DLH while De La Hoya's weight was 147. Pac was actually the heavier fighter.
Floyd weighed 147 when he fought DLH who weighed 154.
Floyd does not make boxers come down to meet him like crybaby Pac. he made DLH come to 147 and now he is even making Cotto come to 145.
Floyd moved up to fight Castillo who was 9 pounds heavier in the ring. Baldomir was 12 pounds heavier than Floyd.

In the 2nd fight against Pac, Mqz landed 172 of 511. Pac landed 157 of 619. Mqz actually landed more punches.
Against Floyd, Mqz landed 69 of 583. Floyd Landed 290 of 493.
So Floyd landed almost twice as many punches as Pac and got hit with almost two thirds less punches than Pac.
Pac does not do well aginst counterpunchers. Before fightinf Floyd, pac needs to work on his offense and his defense, lol.
