The developers could have done a better job with this boss by giving the surroundings a better atmosphere with some webbing and skeletons. Also, having the player to directly deal damage rather than using the statues would be much more satisfying. Overall, this game looks pretty awesome.

@PoseidonKross2009 i agree with the atmosphere, but i think using the statues was necessary, i mean, it HAD to put the dominion rod into use. But i think they could have made it harder for the boss to fall to the floor, i mean, not just shooting a single arrow, maybe bombing its legs afterwards or something.

I'm very arachnophobic but I'm only scared of the normal spiders in that game (those hanging from the ceiling in forest temple e.g.). There's a new gameplay video of Skyward Sword in the internet where you can see the new spiders. They won't be problems for arachnophobics (look like spiders but more comic like)

Meh. This is another joke of a battle, not to mention really gimmicky (this is THE only place you will EVER use the Dominion Rod like that.) All it does is run around the roof (conveniently only over those four columns of light exactly where it'd be in front of the statues if it fell.) It's a gigantic spider with freakin' impenetrable armor so why did it not try to confront you head on? Just that would've made this battle less boring. It's a spider though, so that did it for me (arachnophobe)

@JEWong47 I suppose they made her crawl around the ceiling to make it seem more creeper, spider-like, like a scary animal watching you from the shadows. A head-on battle would fit better with a wild beast such as Ganon later on, and not so much a spider. I do agree on the Dominion Rod part though, since it's such a cool item but hardly gets any use during the battle and afterwards.

When I was playing through the game years ago, I bought myself a walkthrough and as soon as I saw a pic of Armogohma. I was fucking terrified as I'm also scared of a spiders. And was dreading going through the Temple of Time and facing this boss.

To my relief, it wasn't as bad when actually fighting him. And loved squashing the fucker. To be honest, my scariest part of the game was in the forest temple and falling into a pit full of Skulltullas. That made me scream.

I was glad that those were the only ones in the game (except one in a hidden hole in Hyrule Field but you can already see it long before, no surprise-moment)
