Ive been at the methadone clinic for over a year now, and I have my life back! after over 10 years of oxy contin addiction, and trying many different treatment options I found the methadone clinic. I now can live a normal life, my day isnt consumed with only thinking of when, where, and how I could get my next high. I now am begining the life ive always dreamed of, my friends and family tell me that they see the person they loved and hadnt seen in over 10 years. THANK YOU GOD FOR THE CLINIC!!!

Methadone helped me stay out of jail but it didn't really give me a "normal" life and certainly no "joy." I think it may work differently for others. It sure beats chasing the bag but if you want real freedom try a 12 step program. That probably saved me life. I had a lot of clean time, left the program and got loaded then ended up on Methadone for 6 years. IT"S HARD TO FIND HELP, but I kicked a 150mg 6 year habit. I'm clean and FREE! Whatever works but the clinic was a ball n chain for me.

I think you misunderstood me. I don't have a problem with people who are addicted to drugs. I have a problem with the methadone programs themselves and the people who take advantage of their poor regulation in order to keep doing drugs. I'm against addicts who put their addictions before their children. I'm against addicts who don't try to get better and just leech off the taxpayers to support their addiction. I don't want all drug addicts to die. Surely there are some who can overcome.

You don't even know how much fucking methadone I have to pick up off the floor of my store because stupid fucks like you drop them while you're all doped up. Why do you harbor such hate for someone trying to get their life back together and lead a normal exixtance? I became addicted to pain killers because of being prescribed them from a doctor, like many clients of the methadone clinic i have never touched any other form of drugs. And Ive done research on clinics if you are talking about clients of a clinic, it is a federal law that any methadone clinic cannot give out pill form to clients, it has to be liquid or disolved to a liquid form b4 taken..

I don't harbor hate toward people trying to get their life together, I harbor hate for people who use those programs simply to get more drugs and keep using street drugs on top of it. It hinders the progress of people like you who are actually there to get better. There are people who go to our local methadone clinics to deal drugs. There are reports of sex in vehicles with children present. Things like that shouldn't be going on. You, being familiar with a clinic, know of what types I speak.

explain normal? did you WATCH the VIDEO? why don't you do a little research before you go spouting your ignorance. methadone takes away any craving for ANY opiate without the high while stopping the horrible withdrawal symptoms you get when you do try to kick the illegal opiates. why start illegal opiates, you ask? opiates are rx'd by doctors. when doctors decide to cut you off cold turkey, there seems no where to turn but to illegal street drugs which are readily available without an rx.

Methadone has saved so many lives, including my own. To the last poster that says that it's just legal herion..some people will just never understand until someone you love needs this medication. If you ask an addict in active addiction to pick either methadone or herion to take,they will always pick herion because they will not get high from methadone! I take my methadone in the morning and feel nothing, I feel the same before and after I take it! We need more education about the benefits!

And the daycare teacher--does that seem like someone you would want to keep away from children--a crazed addict?
