@CowboyAxe Yeah.. I have been loading 308 bullets in it to save money cause .312's are EXPENSIVE.. And even though it is pretty undersized, it shoots the 308's great.. I am hoping to find a range that is longer that 350 meters. I would like to go for 5-600..
@YamahaWR200 .311 I Think was common,, but hey if she shoots like that who will argue with you. I seen my father take some awesome long shots with all types of ammo, its a fine rifle and the bores are pretty damn good. I have an english one made in 1943 and its a coincidence but I just laid her down after cleaning the bore to a mirror finish,,,, she is damn accurate and my favorite rifle over my modern ones. ps dad said he done shots on old army gun range exceeding 5oo yards.
@CowboyAxe Yeah.. i said .312 cause that is about the biggest jacketed bullets you can get for 303. And if I remember right, mine slugs at .315.. So .308 is really small in it. ha ha. Mine is also a 1943 british. I wanna say a Maltby. I don't remember. You don't happen to have or know anyone that has a number 3 bolt head do you? i am looking for one for my rifle. I have a number 1 in it now.. But it eats brass for breakfast..
@YamahaWR200 Yes your right.. I dont know anybody with the right bolt head you need but if I find one it will be yours. Sadly not many here own lee enfields anymore and those that do hold on tight to parts and things. thanks for your replys its always great to meet a Lee Enfield fan.
The man is a great marksman though.
