@samtheman773 I was being facetious. How much time did you honestly put into it (from getting the coins, to going through them, to returning the modern ones), how much gas did you burn/miles driven going to/from the bank? Compared to the value pulled, was it worth it? What was the ROI?

@silvermediastudio it was an efficient process. I only went to the bank I passed in my daily route anyway, so no extra gas or mileage. And when i sorted, I was usually watching tv or on youtube which is time I would be spending anyway. So, I really made myself money by stopping at the bank and creating income where I'd normally be just sitting making no money. So sorry but you're wrong

I would think dimes and quarters have pretty much been picked through, considering the much higher usage rate. The last time I saw a Mercury dime in circulation must have been ten years ago.

@silvermediastudio Dimes and quarters are much faster to process because of the clear plastic wrappers as opposed to the standard paper on the halves. However, the halves have produced more weight in silver

Went into every single Jewellers in town today looking at prices for coinage.

Even had a ganders at some half Sovs set in rings. Only a couple of the places i went to were dealers but they did have Sovs and Krugers, Full Kruger was £1585,

Full Sov and 1/4 Kruger were £400, Half Sov £250.

There was a nice full Sov ring in one place for £385 but decided i'm gonna get another motorbike. =]

I crashed my last one and the bizzies threw the book at me, got a 6 month ban. Been itching to get back on the road for a year. Gonna get a bigger bike if i can this time, 125's are fun but i want a 400 as they're smaller, lighter, and better on twisty roads than 600's as a general rule. Also cheaper to run, insure and tax.
