  • holy shit this looks awesome.

  • WE WANT CHAPPERS!!!!!!

  • Will there be a retrofit kit released for us to install ourselves or take to a tech? Sounded like he said you had to take it to Orange to have it fitted. And do we have a release date? Everywhere I look people talk about it but never mention when it's coming out.

  • This guy kind of looks like a huskier Skrillex

  • i wonder if that software is open source or completely proprietary. will it run on my Linux machines?

  • This is cool stuff, especially for us DIYers. And I gotta say Doug is one hell of a presenter. If you check out product vids by MXR, or pretty much any other video, even some other Orange related videos, you want to shut the dude up and focus on the sounds of the product. There are no amps demo'd here and I didn't feel the need to surf somewhere else. Well done!

  • @HummingPumpkin Hey - thank YOU! Cheers ~ Doug

  • Hi will this work on an orange TH30

  • dramatically reduce biasing costs? - how much are you guys paying for a bias job? as an amp tech, I also give amps a once over to ensure everything is working as it should be, lubricate the pots, clean the switches etc... the human touch cannot be replaced. this is all within the standard bench charge in the first hour.

  • @TeleCustom72 Hey Tele Custom:) One of the OV4's most useful features is that players can swap tubes on their own at any time and mix and match them and not have to take the amp back to a tech. The operative word being back. I don't work on my own amps - leave that to people like yourself who are called to do that. But it is really convenient to be able to swap tubes at home without having to bring it back to the tech, and if you have a lot of tubes to try out, it does save money:)

  • @DougDoppler The valve-swapping feature of this is useful for 'tweakers', however what these guys DON'T say is that the amp's OT (primary) is only optimal for maybe one or two types of output valve - everything else is a compromise. Its one of those bells and whistles for players that do more tweaking than playing, imo.

  • this is a really good idea

  • just in time.. i want to make a tube amp and cant decide what tubes to use

  • Let's not get crazy here. Bass players don't know what tubes are. ;)

  • @fluff191 hahahahahahaha! for real!

  • @fluff191 thought i was alone on that one!

  • hmmm.....i wonder what my esp would sound through one of those...
