He's destroyed the game when he wants everyone to think he "saved" it, but in reality Magic and Bird kept the NBA from going bankrupt. Michael Jordan increased their cash flow dramatically, and the NBA thought profits would remain the same, but it hasn't. Their desire to turn Kobe into Jordan rubbed too many fans the wrong way and most of them haven't watch a game since 5/31/2002.
