I look at the kids around me and I can't help but feel like I was spared.

I had downward spiral as a kid on cassette and loved it. I remember how I loved the videos to march of the pigs and closer. I remember thinking how bad ass they were on MTV during the woodstock coverage. I remember falling in love with hip hop and forgetting about NIN. I remember hearing TDS 14 years later as and adult and being blown away. I remember listening to NIN during my darkest times AND during my happiest. I remember the things I loved as a kid are the things I love today.

I remember last year, when I was on my way to Indianapolis from California with my dad and grandmama on train, I would listen to my ipod, and it only had NIN songs on it. *sigh*

We were already in upper California, and I sat next to the window as we went through a long tunnel. When we finally came out, the 0:56 part of this song exploded in my earphones, right on time when I saw beautiful snowy cliffs and trees. It was such beautiful scenery that went so well with this song. Good memories......

I used to hate NIN for various reasons mainly being the only song I ever heard was march of the pigs which is an acquired taste then I heard closer and didn't like it then I listened to hurt then the hand that feeds to everyday is exactly the same to the collector to this and I have discovered why Trent is so damn popular (and rightfully so)

Then I evolved into The Hand That Feeds and it was one of those songs that pumps you up so I loved it. Then, one day, I rediscovered NIN with the Ghosts album and I was instantly hooked into Trent's music style. I love that, he always seems to have a way to get you to come back to it.
