Duduk or Narmeh Ney , is an ancient 2500 year old instrument. native to Iranians ,Armenia was a part of Iran until 200 years ago,Duduk was played in the region of Armenia, Kurdestan and Aturpadegan( Azarbaijan) . there are many style of playing duduk, The Armenian, The Kurdish and Azari, and later days about 800 years ago when Turks entered the Iranian plateau they used duduk in their music and they call it MEY, their style of playing is the turkish play, it is very nice just like the armenian

Armenians lie only from armenians! Why the Armenians deceive the world? The Duduk is the Turkish name, it give from the Turkish word "düdük". But Armenians is armenized it. Some of European countries called this instrument duduka or dudka in Russia and Ukraine, duduk in Serbia, and the daduk in Bulgaria. Duduk in Azerbaijan is known as Balaban. Azerbaijans have other instrument by name Tütek. The Azerbaijanian musician Alihan Samedov play in balaban well as all armenians musicians!

it is a pretty difficult instrument to play, not evryone can learn to play it - let alone master (which not many have).
