A very original talented singer. If David Cook does not win tonight it's because the show is totally fixed. David A has a nice voice, but he doesn't come close to David Cook's ability to perform, and most importantly entertain. I can watch is videos over and over and still get goose bumps.

Simon was way to hard on David C and totally contradicted himself about wanting originality when he said David C should have sung Billy Jean???

For me, David Cook won this competition weeks ago!

if they are really looking for the original why they praised David A & left David C with just ok...are they out of their mind?..though what they say is just opinion it still have an impact..when all the performance of David A be combined in a single recording you'll end up bored but for David C you'll gonna end up smiling for in 1 recording almost all genres are covered.Americans prove the world you're not boring!...

i love collective soul (the band who actually does this song) and where im from, Blue Springs MO, aka where he is from. Most people have never heard of CS, and after this everyone will think its a bad song, because he did it very badly.

hey, edgehead...if you don't care what anybody else has to say, don't post your opinion in a public forum...second, if you think most people have never heard of collective soul, or this song in particular, you're on glue...david cook's version was, for me, better though...the original always seemed like cheap pink floyd...cook's version, especially the first verse, and the lines about new york city, were really touching...

I loved this, personally. It was very authentic feeling. and for some reason it made me cry a little. I must be tired...it was nice after a long, hard day (or long, hard few years). I liked it better than the original version.
