Melvins are depicted as doom however the foo fighters are not in that category, founder Dave Grohl was in a series for punk bands, scream and nirvana. Not really much to compare, due to there not being a comparison in the musical instrumental style of the music. There equally good and at the top of there genre. If we like early 90's music and musicians and we want what handful is left to stay around, we have to band together, not fight over which one of us is better and then threaten assault.
