  • If I could hear this or any thing like this on the radio. I would keep my cd's at the house and crank it up the melvins kick ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I cannot even describe how much I love this band.

  • Eh, heavy but kind of too slow. A little frustrating to listen to.

  • @halfmanhalfmetal if you think this is too slow, you should hear Electric Wizard. Clearly this kind of music isn't for you

  • @NuclearGuru350 damn son, electric wizard is awesome

  • @halfmanhalfmetal Greif is recommendable for even slower tunes.

  • the drums at the end sound like two ton raindrops

  • Melvins - The Ultimate Geeks of Grunge.

  • ;)

  • my hero do foo figthers???

  • wow, a piece of art

  • these guys age like fine wine

  • Sound like my hero, or the other way around not sure which came first.

  • @14houghton91 'My Hero' came out in 1997, and it came out in 2006, so this is almost 10 years younger than My Hero. Oh yeah, Melvins copying Foo's! Nevermind, this song sounds great, and it's not that similar, only a part of main riff.

  • @Justeatmytoast

I guess they're allowed to. Almost EVERY OTHER rock band has Melvins influences : ) They deserve a monument.

  • Tyyyryyym, tytyryym, tymtyryyam... FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

    Still the best.

  • ssooooooooooovery punkspawk

  • Why does this song remind me of Kashmir?

  • Sounds a little bit like " My Hero " Foo Fighters : >

  • @Sundown131 agreed

  • i like the melvins, nirvana, and the foos :l

  • THHHHHHHHHHHeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrre goes my hero

  • @mahavira

The biggest difference is everything but most importantly this song doesn't suck like that did.

  • this sounds like my hero jajajaja

  • @chaksa alice in chains never associated with the grunge movement, they were never a "grunge" band, and dave grol was IN nirvana same as pat smear during the tours (who is also in the foo fighters).

  • Akiko is the best!!!!!

  • what a song! one of the best i´ve heard in the last years.

  • WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME THIS IS SO FUCKING AWESOME!!

  • @KurdtKobain09 because you had to discover all that amazement yourself.

  • I'd like to live forever among this groovy riffs...

  • Amazing. they got many as melodic as this. recommendations??

  • @TheScouseExile their last three albums all feature this line-up and they're great. The Bride Screamed Murder, Nude With Boots, and (a) Senile Animal

  • @TheScouseExile " Hooch " has a pretty steady hammering beat..

  • @TheScouseExile Melvins - grinding process, and jsut for kicks, heres a euphroic dream pop song Passion pit - better things

  • Dale Crover is better than Dave Grohl...deal with it

  • in my opinion grunge is just another word for punk

  • @Greggkrieger1994 in MY opinion, grunge is just the best fucking shit

  • Foo Fighters ?????????

    fuck that..........

  • @CanadianChronic2121 agreed, after every fucking song grohl says something about "rock 'n' roll"... and then they start playing the next song and it's some poppy high pitch riff, so damn irritating, he should get back behind the drums and let Pat Smear front it.

  • @AwesomeSauceLimited

I don't understand why he would want to quit drumming.......... when he was the greatset drummer of all time.

Fuck John Bonham , his style puts me to sleep.........

  • @CanadianChronic2121 I know man, he was great, I mean, the first time I heard Stay Away by nirvana I instantly wanted to start playing drums! But his guitar work and attitude to music now just bores me, its so cliche :(

  • I love their last 3 albums more than anything else they've done for some reason. It's like a mix of metal, classic rock and relaxing stuff like this. Good shit. I found out about the Melvins while watching Corrosion of Conformity Live dvd. Jimmy Bower (drummer) is wearing the Melvins Army T-shirt.

  • Buzz. I'm herre.. Now where are mu fucking thums up?

  • I discovered Melvins after watching The Talking Horse video on Ipecac's website.

  • You would think the 2 people dumb enough to hit dislike would be too dumb to even find this clip....great song...great band....the 90's wouldn't have been the same without them!

  • Fuckin serious here. How can there be even 2 motherfuckin dislikes.

  • Best comment: "It's my video"

    You guys are funny.

  • Comment removed

  • I only found the Melvins because Buzz is in Fantomas. You know, the band Mike Patton started? You know, Mike Patton. God.

So I figured if Mike Patton can respect Buzz's guitar, then so can I. And now I do. So all you saying "find out for yourself" can go fuck off. Sometimes you need to be recommended or told about something through some other means. I'm sure you all weren't born knowing the Melvins.

  • Loving the Dune reference in the image :D

  • I came to listen to the Melvins, but got a bunch of arguing little homos.

  • Bunch of pussy faggots... Just enjoy it for fucks sake!

number five. Mention you know who.

number six. State your completely irrelevant opinion in a highly abrasive manner

number seven. Under no circumstances can you mention anything about The Melvins or this song

  • you guys sound like chicks

  • Hey guyz do you like s the Metallica band, i thinks good them can more than lots.

  • After listening to the album version of this song a couple of times, I still reckon their live version is a million times better.

Testament to a great band when their live performances make their albums look average.

  • The worst types of fan are the fans that only listen to a band because one of their idols did. No disrespect to Kurt or Nirvana, but really, people need to discover things for themselves.

  • @aresholemywayout

doesn't matter how you find the band. matters if you like the music or not

  • @aresholemywayout Thats bullshit. I wasn't hanging around the music scene in 1989 seeing bands playing live and reading fanzines, I was a fetus. Many people find out about bands from other bands, get your head out of your ass you elitist cunt mother. I'm so sick of hearing that shit.

  • @constipatedclown I agree. You can't really avoid the way you find out about a band...it's the same thing with how people find out about Kyuss through Queens of the Stone Age or Tool. Who cares?

  • I play this in my band. Top tune and great band!!! King Buzzo forever!!!

  • the melvins and dune, fuckin a right

  • Comment removed

  • @nuclearguru350 yep do it it loads on my iPod slow anyways

  • @nuclearguru350 take off YouTube I dare u

  • @nuclearguru350 instead of acting like a douche and trying to control the comments u should just shut up

  • @72KLEW It's my video and if I get flooded with retarded arguments about Kurt Cobain day after day then I will do as I please.

  • @72KLEW You....dare me?

  • @NuclearGuru350 haha thumbs WAY up

  • @72KLEW hes right it starts to bore everyone who thinks he has to show everyone how much he knows about grunge... boring. be cool. give a shit.

  • @72KLEW lol, you said douche

  • Hey guys, instead of talking aimlessly about other bands/artists, what about the one that created this song in this video?

  • @NuclearGuru350 Why not talk about nirvana, its one of the tags in the video...

  • I approve of the worm from Dune.

  • So i'm here like half the other people, I heard Kurt was inspired by these guys. And I can totally see why, there awesome even i'm inspired :[]

  • THE BEST .....VIVA OS MELVINSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • Kurt was a huge fan of this band and even made a painting at their van. Your a bunch of fucking douchebags who feel strong because you can piss on Kurt Cobain.

    You are all fucking pathetic

  • @pedskon i think you meant "you're"

  • @amarzi1 you are= you're you fucking idiot

  • @pedskon lol everyone knows about kobain shut up lol

  • @00hasista00 and that gives you the right to diss him? Because he had succes? Screw his fucking kickass music and personality, that doesn't matter, because he was just a selfish POP creep wasn't he?

  • @pedskon im not dissing kobain i love nirvana. my point was the fact that everyone knows about kobain being a big fan of this band.

  • @00hasista00 then why are you telling me to shut up? Fact is that i told those bunch of douchebags who disses cobain that they are pathetic.

The Melvins are cool, but just because Nirvana is more popular and got more attention, then it doesn't give them the right to piss on his corpse that way...

Im just tired of these losers trying to act cool because they "dear" to hate Cobain.

  • kurt was a selfish douchbag.

  • man, they're called melvins, lose the "the"

  • Anybody seen them recently? I saw them about two years ago and they Dale was playing with another drummer. They still doing that?

  • Foo Fighters are a copy of Melvins SOnic youth Nirvana Alice in Chains all those great grunge bands .So is foo fighter Better than MElvins? No cause its a Copy.Bands Like The Melvins Are one of the bands that lead To grunge .Never COmpare GOD TO JEsus lolol.

  • @chaksa WTF are you talking about? Foo Fighters have almost nothing in common with the bands you've listed. Go be an idiot somewhere else.

FYI, not a Foo Fighters fan, but I've heard enough to know the difference.

  • @somedude2319 your ignorant and obevius a kid and dont no noting about music foofighters is a copy OG NIRVANA MELVINS AND SONIC YOUTH .GO Learn same Music Ignorant i ndont have time for ignorants kids.

  • @chaksa You fail at the english language you stupid vagina face.

    Derrrrrrrrrrrp.....

  • @chaksa no, foo fighters are not a copy of great "grunge" bands, they sound COMPLETELY different.

  • @chaksa Dude. Dave Grohl was the drummer in Nirvana. That's probably why it sounds similar to Nirvana. Don't think of them as a copy, this is just their inspiration. Hah. But I was reading about Kurt Cobain, Melvins was one of his favorite bands. He tried to get into the band, but they wouldn't let him. So he was just a groupie. Melvins are good though. :D

  • @ChaChaHancho you dindt understand my response.Your foo fighter fan.Thats why you dont undestand nothing i told.

  • @chaksa Ok you need to learn to spell and use grammar. And I don't think that Foo Fighters are that bad. And I did understand, I just don't think they are a copy is all. Just wanted to express that to you. Ok?

  • @ChaChaHancho And your 13 years old .Talking to a 32 old GROWN MAN THAT LIVE THOSE GREAT MUSIC YEARS.you dont no nothing.

  • @chaksa Does it really matter how old I am? I really like this music, it doesn't really matter that much that I didn't live when It came out. It matters that I'm listening to them, And want to know more about them. :/

  • @chaksa Being influenced by another musician doesn't make them a "copy". Dey both good bands, but i agree, no need to compare them. and same to chachahancho or whatever da hell his name is: nirvana was influenced by the melvins and so was dave grohl who is the singer of the foo fighters. hes a badass musician, insane at drums, a really good singer, and aight guitarist. but he still aint to be compared to the melvins

  • @PierceM3 Thank you! And *her. Haha. I just kinda hate that everyone talks about other music than the actual artist. This song is great.

  • @chaksa The Melvins are a big influence on lots of grunge bands. But, you do know that the lead singer and guitarist of Foo Fighters was the drummer in Nirvana don't you?

  • @chaksa That makes no sense... Foo fighters is NOT a copy of melvins, totally different style of music...

  • @chaksa what a childish comment.. you have always inspirations as a band. and foo fighters are very different to the bands you´ve quoted, though they were inspired by them, but don´t forget the beatles for example.

and alice in chains sucks in my opinion.just like pearl jam suck. but that´s taste. but foo fighters are really individual and have their own style.

  • Comment removed

  • @chaksa hahaha,

alice in chains does suck. but that´s also only taste man. and to say that i don´t know anything about music just because i don´t like aic is completly dumb, sorry to say that but in fact THAT IS IGNORANT and dumb too. you can go back to the kindergarten or look for your cows...they need milking. and i won´t answer if you write back cause that answer of you was so low levelled tht i don´t think that the next one will be better. go and hear music man and don´t talk bullshit.

  • @grimgolf79 IGNORANCE IS BLISS.ignorant one

  • @chaksa

i have no need to comment that. it speaks for iself... XD

  • @grimgolf79

    olololololoolololololol

  • @Chloralone

    rofl, milk your cows!!

  • @grimgolf79

    ololololololololololololol

  • @grimgolf79

It's not an opinion when you say something sucks, Alice In Chain doesn't suck at all. You just don;t like them or that style of music.

  • @Dhruv1223

    hi

yeah, you´re right in some kinda way.... who defines what is good or bad?

noone, but who defines if beethoven is better than a three year old child playing on the piano?

well it´s taste. and there is definitly a difference between let´s say scorpions and led zeppelin. both were very succesful but one is crap and one band is gem... well maybe it´s just taste maybe it´s art...

  • @grimgolf79

I'll tell you what does suck, Hip-Hop, Justin Beiber etc. and in this case it's not a matter of taste these people really do suck. Alice In Chains makes good note selection the above dont do anything.

  • two dislikes? i swear people just dislike everything on purpose to be "funny"

    grow up cunce

  • the kurt sucked the flipper, wipers and melvins!

  • Whilst I dislike Nirvana for their pop style 'grunge, at least their naive fans are exploring the real 'grunge'

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA+++++++++++++++++++

  • thumbs up for the melvins !!!

  • why are you all carrying on about Nirvana???this is all about the magnificent melvins!!

  • @davesaussieduster I know right? I LOVE Nirvana and the Melvins, but, I wouldn't talk about the Melvins on a Nirvana video. Both were/are great bands.

  • this riff is so catchy.

  • Melvins always!

  • No wonder he was friends with Kurt, there both fuckin EPIC!

  • maninaL

  • This song is awesome!

  • One of the most enthralling bands that you can ever click on to.....10/10

  • @davesaussieduster click? listen...

  • One of the most enthralling bands that you can ever click on to.....10/10

  • i first heard of this band cause i was listening to Black Tusk and they were on the side suggestions bar-------------------------------> it was the song elcetric flower then i started checking them out and they are so awesome

  • i eat civilized worms for breakfast.

  • melvins > nirvana but i respect nirvana

  • @cordfluidnevoie Ur in the minority...i respect that, but i dont respect ur choice

  • @PBANDSNOW i was playing in a nirvana tribute band when i was thirteen years old i was the guitar/vox.. actually i enjoy a lot of nirvana i hear it since i was a kid from 5 years old and i think melvins flipper pixies sonic or some other stuff better but i think i listened nirvana to much .. it's relative you know.. and you know what i'm stoned as hell so i think my response would

  • the only reason i discovered the melvins was because somebody told me my hair was worse than buzz ozbornes. now they are one of my favorite bands.

  • @scorpion779946 i totally fucking want hair like king buzzo's

  • @scorpion779946 I would like to see your hair.

  • funny. the only album i truly like of nirvana is BLEACH, and all of kurt cobain's friends told him it sounded like celtic frost mixed with the melvins. god, all of you grow a pair and coexist.

  • Fuck off with your annoying and unnecessary bitching and whining and just enjoy the music, pussies.

  • @Ozma2112 shhh nigger.

  • doesnt sound like kurt at all, just sayin, i love melvins and nirvana

  • Civilized Worm more than our politicien !!

  • This song kills!! Great album

  • this song touches me very softly no homo

  • love this song

  • I'm not arguin with anyone just saying, Melvins started in very early 80s, foo fighters started in like 96-97, and nirvana listened to the melvins, so i'm sure dave grohl prolly both knew king buzzo and listened to his music

  • @hupajupa Dave Grohl played on the Melvins' King Buzzo album. When they did the individual concept albums in the vein of Kiss, Dave Grohl supplemented the drums on King Buzzo's recordings.

And both Nirvana and the Foo Fighters are terrible music. That's my opinion, and I understand that fans of Nirvana will fight this FACT until the day they die. So for everyone, don't start that argument.

  • @broballs Hey, put the FACT in your Factual Ass retarded fucker. Emo Retarded Fucker. Nirvana Rulez.

  • @UniversalCodeX

    Elliott Smith rules.

  • It's pointless to argue between Melvins/Nirvana/Foo fighters, they are all friends and have worked together since they were kids might all well be one giant superband.

  • Comment removed

  • Melvins are WAYYYYYYY better then the foo fighters

they been around longer i even bet Dave Grohl himself would think the same

  • Otro de esos exitos instantaneos para el alma.

  • a classic riff

  • Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, what lovely harmonies...

  • Kurt Cobain

  • @gorkkh SON OF A BITCH.

  • @NuclearGuru350 kurt cobain is the civilized worm?

  • @gorkkh

    who?

  • @gorkkh hey... nirvana played grunge cause they listened to this guys... so.. shut up!!

  • @Sebast911 ok

  • @gorkkh carried their equipment youngn

  • @gorkkh more like, kurt codead

    hurr hurr

  • @gorkkh God, best frontman since Joe Strummer

  • @gorkkh Nirvana and the Melvins are my favourite bands, but, why randomly say Kurts name?

  • @gorkkh uh?

  • Melvins are depicted as doom however the foo fighters are not in that category, founder Dave Grohl was in a series for punk bands, scream and nirvana. Not really much to compare, due to there not being a comparison in the musical instrumental style of the music. There equally good and at the top of there genre. If we like early 90's music and musicians and we want what handful is left to stay around, we have to band together, not fight over which one of us is better and then threaten assault.
