  • Thank you so much for your outstanding knowledge in herbs !!!! I am an Alternative Medicine student here in Florida, USA and I'm currently taking Herbology and Botan class. Today I made my first oil infusion using Arnica to help with sore muscles and I'll be using as a massage oil.

  • hi! thnx so much 4 this, but i have some q's.

1: i always thot that we should be soaking herbs and plants for hours to get the good stuff out and not really boil becuz it'll kill the good properties??

2: wat method wud u use for seeds, such as cumin seeds ect. & using this infusion method for lets say mint, basil and such is ok for the herbs?

3: how else can we make a tincture w/ out actually using alcohol, im muslim & i cannot use alcohol in anyway for consumption.

    thnk u very much!

  • @rickvanman can you use lavender for this?

  • @WhatTheFudgePuppy Yes, it's most enjoyable :o)

  • is green tea a good idea for this?

also how do you dry herds

  • @homemadePAUL This will work well with green tea, but be cautious with green tea because it contains a lot of floride - do some research about it on Google. You can dry herbs by bunching them together and hanging them up in a warm dry place - a conservatory or greenhouse in the sunshine is ideal.

  • tnx man ;)

  • so are these also known as tisanes? Just that I know Hercule Poirot drinks them haha.

  • Very helpful I look forward to seeing the other videos.

  • I keep watching all these videos and it is killing me---spring, where are you???

I am gonna try out some of your video shooting tips to try and make professional natural living videos later this year. :-)

  • One of my favorite herbals is catnip and bachelor's buttons tea. :) I make it very strong when I need to really relax. Definitely something to keep growing in the garden. The bachelor's buttons make a delicate-tasting tea when used alone.

    Yummy.

  • great series Rick. Like to see more.

  • Thanks to you my herbalism stat leveled up! I can make a mana potion now XD

  • Very informative, Rick. Thanks for that :-)

  • @pawel134679 i think its selfmade

  • Great video! Oddly enough, I had to start drinking some herbal teas a few days ago to help calm down my illness. They taste really awful, but it helped out a lot.

  • i have a buddy who just went from vegan to macribiotic..you ever tried it?

  • Excellent video, once again.

If I wanted to begin in herbalism, do you have any beginner's book recommendations?.. Anything you would suggest avoiding?
