I figured I'd post it here, since it's the pilot episode, and quiet:
yesterday I joined the Bogosity forum, (user name is my real name+90), and...well, I'm kinda at a loss for how to introduce myself to these people. I doubt they know me, and I'm thinking about submitting a nominee for one of your weekly pod-casts.
can you advise me on this? I hope it's not too stupid a question-I tend to be awkward in even slightly more formal settings. and I didn't see a welcome thread like other forums.
@donttreadonmyass Because he was right on a LOT of stuff. And he had a lot of anti-Marxist things to say, too. I don't really think he was anything, as far as a political affiliation is concerned.
@geffel The podcast is new. I haven't been able to do an episode in a couple of years. This is a way to keep it alive until real live gives me the spare time to do more episodes.
Well it's good to see you back. I don't always agree with you, but I do enjoy your vids and good luck with that independent wealth thing that will allow you the time to make as many vids as you like.
@donttreadonmyass Not breathalyzers, field sobriety tests, where they have you walk on one line and recite the alphabet standing on one foot, that sort of thing.
Breathalyzers are better, but not as good as blood tests.
@shanedk I must have misheard. But I did hear they can be fooled by mouthwash. It never really specified if a drunk person could pass for sober or sober person could pass for being drunk.
@sandslash123 Wow. Just wow. I don't know if I'll cover it, since I've already got quite a bit for the next show (and it's only Monday), and I really don't know if these idiots deserve any more attention than they already get!
Shane, you said Two Thousand Eleven and not Twenty-Eleven.
I have no point in calling attention to that. I say it that way, too. And I'm used to people "correcting" me. Whenever I hear people say "Two Thousand Eleven", I smile.
@Neilsama me too! Someone once said to me that "No-one went around saying one-thousand nine-hundred and ninety-nine." Which is true, but then again no one went around saying "twenty o-one, twenty o-two, twenty o-three etc"
Good job here. As far as Japan goes, I figured they were blowing this one way out of proportion from day one. It's how 24 hour news stations get ratings. I also feel it is time to put an end to all subsidies. That's one of the reasons this economy is in the crapper. I also think it's high time for folks to take responsibility for their local and state governments. In any case, thanks for the podcast.
liberals will stay stuff like high fructose corn syrup is part of the evils of capitalism, that a business would sell you a willingly harmful product and then lie and say its just as bad as any other sugar.
Just for the record, in a free market what would prevent a company from changing the name of its product to something like "corn sugar" anyways? And would food companys even need to list the ingredients on their products?
@interstate317 High fructose corn syrup can actually be blamed on the government. Between subsidies on corn and protectionist tariff's on real sugar being imported, they made high fructose corn syrup artificially cost effective.
@johnrainrules John speaks truth. There are enormous subsidies on corn making it far cheaper than its market price, and this is creating a whole host of problems, of which HFCS is just one. It's like the War on Drugs: when you start looking into it, it's amazing how many of our problems can be traced to corn subsidies.
@interstate317 And yet still makes those colder foods taste like ass. Corn subsidies and tariffs on sugar have made the U.S. fall behind in the pop race, and now people in 3rd world countries make fun of our soda.
C. No one really responded to the part where companies flat out lie about their products. I am all in favor of free exchanges in an open market. That is, free of LIES!!
@interstate317 Also, what is your source that the USA has fallen behind in the pop race? Last time I checked Coca-Cola is the #1 soft drink in the WORLD!
@interstate317 Coca Cola uses high fructose corn syrup in the U.S. due to corn subsidies and sugar tariffs. Outside the U.S. with less regulation on their ingredients they use sucrose. That is why when foreigners drink pop here they are surprised at our substandard pop, because they assumed that the U.S. company would use the same formula domestically. If you have a Mexican Grocery store in your town you can actually buy the formula they use in Mexico with real sugar. Also try Jarritos lime soda
btw I'd recommended googling everything VFX and his friend Chris say in their Psalm 23 video, just to make sure the both of them aren't plagiarizing anyone. I caught VFX plagiarizing his sources about Psalm 8 and Leviticus 15 in his earlier videos to Tf00t, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's still doing it.
the podcast is good, I liked it, and my critique is mostly what others have expressed earlier.
but wool was the main purpose of the sheep; it of course wasn't the only purpose, meat was important too, but not done as often as one would think: you'd destroy your livelihood if you did. at least that is how Arabs are with it-don't know about Israelites
it does provide a new perspective: God as a selfish being eager to preserve his "capital", not as a butcher per se.
I like your content, but the whiney voices when talking about other peoples opinions, even if they are stupid, ruins it a bit for me. They are either meant as part of the rebuttal, in which case it weakens your case severely or they are meant as entertainment, in which case it isn't doing a good job.
Ha ha! Nice bit of debunking in the first 40 seconds. It amazes me the extent to which some people (cough, the German government, cough) have overblown the crisis. All sadly to the detriment of the real story, the tsunami and its aftermath.

Would like to see you part ways with the Government and come over to the 'Dark Side' of Anarchy (as the media proclaims it to be)...
Government is evil and unnecessary...
As for the guys comment about "Public Schools". ... look at the School Sucks Project for alot of data and information.
Keep it up!
