well, remember, dont do barrel rolls in stunt run, thats risky, do jumps, flat spins and hitting billboards. and dont do the super jumps on that bridge near harbor (forgot its name). and dont drive fast
It's a glitch. The combo isn't supposed to keep going after you crash but sometimes it does after a Driveaway.
Criterion said they patched it in the final game after the Bogart update but I found I could still do it, even on the Stunt Runs on Big Surf Island to this day.
Couldn't say since I got mine at a going-out-of-business sale at a local (well, was local) CompUSA. It was drastically discounted and I don't remember the original price anymore.
My best run on the full game is about 4million. I used to keep the boost on constantly, but it's better to use it in bursts before te combo timer runs out. Helps you keep control and reach good spots on the map for big points like airfield and quarry.
It was a long run starting from the Waterfront plaza and then making my way past the baseball stadium then back again towards Big Surf beach, hitting every Billboard along the way.
It was also how I got the "Millionaire's Club" Achievement.
I wouldn't doubt that's where part of the inspiration came from. It does feel like Maniac Mode from time to time. The jumps change things but the travel is a lot like Maniac Mode (except dodging traffic doesn't matter in Stunt Run).

Now that Big Surf Island is available, I've pushed my stunt record to over 3 million using the Dust Storm and the beach area on the island.

Anywhere that sells computer stuff. Mine is a Hauppauge WinPVR 150. Once you have one you should use a program called "DScaler" to record things.
