  • I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY CDJ 1000, EVERYTHING WORKS,ALL THE BOTTONS DO WHAT THERE SUPPOSE TO, BUT NO SOUND COMES OUT GOING THREW THE MIXER, SO I HOOKED IT RIGHT INTO THE AMP, TO SEE IF IT WORKED, AND STILL NOTHING WOULD COME OUT, BUT THE CD WAS PLAYING, DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA.

  • This error sucks, i get it too

  • DUDE.. CHECK YOUR CDS OR USBs.. 100% SURE THAT WAS INFECTED BY A WORM..... TAKE MY ADVICE.. CLEAN THEM...

  • mine does this with just 10 tracks on a stick!!!! and it just cut out as i was bout to drop my last tune in a recorded mix....

  • Hi guys, it seems like there are a lot of people who struggle with this issue. I own two cdj-400's myself, and also had this error a lot of times until I found this solution:

There's a free piece of software called 'mp3val' (google it), this software fixes mpeg-errors. It solves most of the read errors on the CDJ players! Put all your tracks in a folder. Start mp3val and add the folder (file>add folder). Finally scan (actions>scan all) and repair (actions>repair all files).

  • @InfiniaMusic After that just copy all the tracks from the folder you 'fixed' onto your USB/CD/HDD and you're ready to go! Remember you cant use over 100 files per folder on the CDJ-400, so split them up. Hope this solves most of the read-errors! If there are any more questions feel free to contact me!

  • @InfiniaMusic i dont see how this will work, my mp3 is fine, as it plays elsewhere perfect...

  • I do have the same problem but not with USB Sticks but with CDs - and it its reproducable.

I just need to stick 2-3 CDs in, let them be read out, jump a bit within the tracks, remove the CD and put another CD in ... after the 2nd, latest 3rd CD I cannot access the "higher count" tracks, too - BUT: i am talking of track 7 of 12 !!

All cds run perfectly in my other CDJ. Its already been back to the dealer for repair but it did not solve the problem.

  • Mine have just done it there... Glad I wasn't recording.

  • I get error 8305 with my cdjs-200... Corrupted MP3?

  • this is an easy problem to repair, first unplug the unit, then open your bedroom window and throw it out, then shut the window.easy

  • @75kev ill be out there and ready to catch it!

  • Lets play a game!

    STOP DANCE

Yup.. i got the right player for that..

  • i've got the exact same problem on one of em, do you know wat it is?

  • per forza chissa quante canzoni ci saranno in quella chiavetta!!!e si sa che l'USB nn è mai come il CD!!

  • im thinkin of getting traktor cause i need a software to use with my cdj 1000's and djm 800. does it come with two cd's to put in the cdj's and usb cables? i read on here that it cant hold more than 100 songs or something? all in all my itunes counts all the songs in all my folders on my computer is like 3000-4000, so i wud have to cut them up? it also is a good 30- 40 gigs accd. to itunes, is there some kind of limit to how many songs you can you/have in traktor?

  • 3000- 4000 songs isnt 30 to 40 gigs, its like 20-30

  • track =?

  • Sydney blue - Give it up

  • unfortunately it is not possible to use more than 100 song in one folder. so u have to split them up. do not put more than 100 songs in one folder, then u can solve this problem. that's all!

  • Man it looks as a problem with the CD player lens, obviusly with are using a usb memory, may be depends on the status of the usb memory

  • i don't know about the other errors but on my 1000 mk3's i can avoid the e-8305 error by removing the embedded artwork (usually album cover) from the mp3's before burning them to disk. took me a while to figure that out...

  • succede perche' i pennini usb prima di metterli nel lettore si devono formattare....è alto il rischio che il virus entri nel lettore.....e li son cavoliiii...ciaoooo

  • I have the same problem in cdj 200

  • but this person is using a USB Thump Drive and not a CD....

  • I think it have something to do with broken files. If the file is not properly on your harddisk (not complete because your usb stick is full) or the data has damaged.

  • Actually, the more logical explanation for this is similar to a PC: the DJ device has limited memory built in to it. You can only view/queue up so much, after that your "memory" runs low and you get lag.

  • same problem here. except I just brun few cds (mp3 - cda) and it doesnt play some tracks... btw... mines cdj200

  • i just bought mine last month brand new and they both have the same problem when i connect my ipod :( what did u do to fix this?

  • probaly get fixed in the next firmwire update

  • I hate to break it to you, but the CDJ-400 cannot read iTunes protected AAC files. This means that you must use a converter (i.e., Noteburner) in order to play your iTunes/iPod songs off the CDJ-400. And don't wait for the next firmware update for it to be fixed, because it isn't an error, it's a copyright issue with iTunes purchased music. Good luck, & I highly recommend using Noteburner, I've converted my whole library to play off USB drives now.

  • I have a 360g hard drive plugged into mine and it works fine (loading time can be a prob tho usually about 5 mins)they don't play wav files tho little pissed about that. I have got a prob with my cdj tho mine dose the same as the 1 in the vid but only when i spin the tune back with the jog other than that thay are good CJD s and I would still recommend them to any 1.

  • oh, guys, just read the manual...

pioneer recommends using CBR (constant bit rate)... why didn't you show us next song? maybe because it works? and try loading 30-40 songs for start and you'll see how it works. i have a pair and they work just fine...

  • muito bom!

  • hey guys honestly i bet there is no profesional dj mp3 players out there that havn't had bugs. there are too many variables involved.

i would use the cdj400's with a laptop for mp3's for thousands of reasons.

  • What happens when you stick a USB stick with WAVE files? We all like using wav as the quality is better... So when using the CDJ 400's.. Got to bring your wallet full of CD-R's then. So Pioneer, if you're watching (We know U aren't) Don't mislead us with your false advertising, in that 'One can go out with just a USB stick'...Obviously one cannot. Don't for God's sake bring your HD... the crowd will be waiting all nite for you to load it..Unless you've a couple of 'Radio Edits' you want to play!

  • Hey,i have exactly the same Problem!!!A part from 113 its just going crazy!!And it takes about 5-10 minutes until it reads the UsB.I have 4GB Sticks from Kingston.Maybe the Players have Problems with Sticks with that size!!??Also i cant get any Hard Drive to work!!Is it possible to make a Software Update on that Players, cause they have a PC Out/input at the BAck!!Greetz from Spain

  • Hi, Im not sure why it cant read them correctly. I have read that pioneer is working on a fix for this problem, they have one update for the firmware already, but thats just for the PC Mode Function from what I understand. Greetz back to you from the States here, hope this is fixed!

  • im getting a pair of these in a few days, but im glad to hear you fixed your problem! and just wondering, who's the artist of the song you're playing at the beginning "give it up for me"?? cheers!

  • Their great players, like everything new that hits the market the bugs have to be worked out.

The Track is by Sydney Blu, Give it up for me, Original Mix, Ive got the Deadmau5 remix too but I like the original better.

  • E-8307 USB Write Failed

Writing to USB cannot be completed - Media is write protected > Remove write protection

    E-8303 PLAYER Error (returning)

    PLAYER Error (buffer writing)

Disc is dirty > clean disc

    E-8305 Disc Format Error

Disc cannot be played - Disc is not in supported format > replace disc

  • Cool where did you find that out at? Only problem is the E 8303 happend when using the Usb flash drive, so I cant clean it ;) also the E8305 happend when I was using the Flash drive.

I think I fixed the problem in this video, I made sure none of my folders had over 100 songs and its seems to work fine now.

  • Have you had anymore errors in the last 5 months? or is everything still working well?

I have just bought new ones and they are having this problem! e8304 and e8303

  • ya dude what the hell mine have that too. and mine are only three months old.... dude you figure out what was the cause of the errors?

  • Dude,

I found that the odd track can be corrupted so maybe download another one and try it.

Also I find that using 2x160gb. 50gb on each. I find having this amount of free space works well. The buffer space is good. And it does not take too long for the players to read them. I found that is you say used a 3 gig flashdrve and it was full, the player would not read it! use a bigger hard drive and not have it full it is a lot better

    Mine been ok now 1yr.

let me know how you get on?

  • i got my problem from usin a cd. turns out that that cd had something wrong with it. so i just reburned it and wa la. i read across different forums that artwork tracks have on like itunes could disrupt the players. its not them itself... its the cd or in your case the usb. just fix that lil problem and youre good. have you seen the new cdjs? theyre so sick!

  • @voiceKoil731

    google is your friend ;)
