  • I figured it out :-) My external soundcard's volume level was too low after plugging it back in.. Works fine! I am using Audacity to create the test pulse :-)

  • Awesome!

    I tried to hook up a servo as well;

USB Hub -> Old cable + USB Soundcard

I hooked up the servo to the old cable (+5V & GND)

And the yelow signal cable to the USB Soundcard L channel (and +5V to the jack's base)

The Servo only moves when touching the signal cable?

I used esseraudio PWM Generator, tried 40-50Hz with different Duty cicles.

Any clue where I went wrong? :-) Perhaps its just too late (2.40am) to do such stuff.. I used a miltimeter to check polarity and such..

  • ????

  • Awesome video! Is it possible for you to post a simple diagram of what you did? I can't tell where all your wires are going (or how many volts your battery is). Very sorry for the request, and I appreciate the help!

  • Sweet job! Turns out you can do this with arbitrary serial data too. Your set up is more elegant than mine!

  • How hard would it be to control a servo by music?

  • Could someone please write some more detailed instructions on how to configure Daqarta to run a Hitec servo. Eventually I would like to have a bunch of pre-recorded audio files that I could stream over the internet to my IPod touch. Thank you in advance.

  • Wow cool! How do i generate the sound with Daqarta? Are there any example files?

  • @MasterKhris I have made a test app for android that is easier to use if you have an android phone, see code.google.com/p/cellbots/ Otherwise you just have to set Daqarta to make a pulse that is between 1-2ms long once every 20ms.

  • hi good stuff! i also did this here: gjub2fbRliQ

  • Awesome! Thanks for posting this :)

  • Pretty cool, could you tell me what program are you using?

  • @Twistx77 program is called Daqarta, it is program for using your sound card as a low freq oscilloscope.

  • @dammitdarrell Thank You!
