  • Your a fucking idiot that is buissines as qantas has private cabins for first class look at your boarding pass before you pick a seat dickhead

  • @EATFOODstudios Be sure what you're talking about before you go off half cocked. That IS QF A388 1st.

  • Sorry guys. You can sit there pulling your puds all you want. While First Class is great on any air craft - Qantas is not the best by far nor does their product look all that different from Virgin Atlantic Upper Class which is a business product and is lie flat in a cocoon. It doesn't even compare with Emirates... Still I wouldn't complain any airline's First Class.

  • The Factors Of First Class: Instead of coke, you have champange, instead of a toilet you have a bathroom, instead of closed eyes, you have sleep.

  • This looks more like business class than first class.

  • Singaore Airlines Is way better than this! Sorry Qantas even though I am Australain but.. Sinagpore Airlines has made a better attempt to re-revolutionise first class by incorporating a style that reflects that of a hotel room. Come on Qantas.. do something big , do something grand to make us want to fly first class with you! Sorry but this is just too common and it has already been done.. infact by the looks of it Singapore Airlines A380 business class looks to have a bigger seat..

  • @LexM97 Well You'd be surprised at the amount of western countries First class passengers that dont want to be trapped in a small enclosed space, like the suites on an aircraft. Rich Asians and Middle easter people prefer the more extravagant suites on Singapore and Emirates.

  • @psjosh1 That may be so, but the Suites on SIA A380 have the option of being closed or open and I do believe the specifications of the seat, legroom and overall personal space on SIA's Suites are bigger than this. I do believe that the price isn't that much different. I just think that Qantas could have done better, they have made big changes to the aviation industry in the past, obviously not this time. Saying that, I do like their idea of self service bars in economy and premium economy.

  • @LexM97 But Have you actually flown it? They have great legroom and stuff, but you feel claustrophobic and stuffy inside the sweets and if the doors are open, there is pretty much no privacy.

  • @psjosh1 I haven't flown it myself, but some of my friends have. They said it was quite disapointing. I think that Qantas has done ok with their A380 first class, I just think they could have done something more innovative, you know? Something that hasn't been done before, this first class format has been done before.

  • Emirates 1st class shits all over qantas' feeble attempt...

  • @drbenz78 So what. Out of all the world's airlines, if something went wrong during the flight I would rather be in a Qantas jet than any other. Qantas have the best pilots in the business.

  • @drbenz78 Qantas's taste shits all over the cheap and tacky thing Emirates tries to pull off as sophisticated decor..

  • Haha boardie :P

If such us the case, then how did you come across this video? :P

QF 1st class on the A380 does not close into a private room. It's more of an alcove...

  • @lch29 Deliberately so. It's in keeping with the Qantas brand, which is more open.

  • 1st

  • does the qantas 1 class boths have private doors that thay can open and close!!!!

  • loz you're such a geek!!!!!!

  • nothing compared to the emirates 1st class.

  • I love their private suites. Im always flying on business class on every flight ones i like rather much are delta private suites, emirate private suites, and qantas a380 private suites.

i might be taking The A380 again to sydney or melbourne or something.

  • Lol I just got off a Qantas plane like that. \i was flying 1st. AWESOME.

  • my family and i only paid a little over $2000 for first class since my dad works for the airline =D

  • i remember my first time being on first class, i was so excited and i couldn't stop moving around in my chair and touching all the controls. It was a fun experience. The only bad side of flying first class is that you never wanna go back to economy.

  • and that it costs $22,000

  • Fiddling with the controls, taking photos, loud chatter... Oish... The antithesis of the first class passenger.

    First class isn't a seat, children, it's a lifestyle.

  • Comment removed

  • Very well said sir!

  • @skinboy8 well arent you fucking rich, get fucked.

  • in my opinion, though Qantas is one of the major airlines in the world, most people in Australia choose to fly Singapore Airlines on the kangaroo route.

  • I will never take Qantas again after my bad experiences with them on Y and J Class.

Havent tried it but would rather SQ or EK's A380 Suites

  • UGLY FIRST CLASS CABIN EVER!!!!!

  • So right

  • lol, I kinda expected to find SQ fanboys over here. :)

  • look at the window back there at 0:8 it looks like lightning

  • i think for business... among the A380... SIA is still the best...

flew with it from Heathrow to Singapore! it was extremely comfy.... biz in EK is better than QF for sure! i don't know why QF choose that Biz Class... flying odd to London again soon. Instead of Flying QF A380 biz, I chose BA B747 Biz (Club WOrld).... And the First Class looks like CX 747 First class... can't wait to see BA new First, will be unveil this March!

  • Interesting. First class is very different from EK and SIA. It may not have showers and suites, but hey would you want to pay nearly 20k for that on EK? Not me!

  • qantas have probably one ove the best freq flyer programs in the world and we have companys that spend a billion dollars a year we have the advantage cause we are far away and most aussies love qantas and trust them so thats why qantas turned to there ff for there idears on what they wanted on the a380 you people people always give qantas a hard time but we are still one of the companys that make the most money in the worlds and we r not even 1/2 the size of sum GO QANTAS

  • Were you on the first flight from Melbourne to Los Angeles

  • NO BUT HEAPS OF MY FRIENDS WHERE

  • thats nothing compared to Singapore airlines first class, but still its pretty cool.

  • looks more like Singapore Airlines Business Class. Seriously, no a380 customer has created something so grand and luxurious like Singapore Airlines Suites

  • Qantas has opted for practical elements over and above glamour.

  • what a great excuse brett18uk

  • Focus on excuses if you wish. Meanwhile, we will continue to listen to our custom base and reflect that conversation in our product - both hard and soft.

  • let me tell you the reason why we at qantas did not decide to put closed sweets is because we did a huge serve with our freqeunt flyers and ones from other airlines and most of them said they didnt want to be in a closed space up in the air so qantas has given our ff exactly what they wanted

  • Oh, why dont qantas frequent flyers like closed sweets? btw why didnt Qantas put closed door suites in its A380 =P

  • i dont no why but my good good friend was heavily involved with the qantas a380 program i work for qantas as well and they did alot of work with there freq flyers and and they said they want there sye beds fully flat and they want privart sweets but done want to feel like there on a train this what he told me i guess and people that have flowen on it have already said to me how much they love our a380 even people that have been on singapore i guess everones tast is different

  • Ok, thanks for explaining!

In my opinion, the three first airlines to operate the A380 each have an innovative product...

    in my personal opinion;

    BEST A380 FIRST CLASS - 1st (SIA), 2nd (EK), 3rd (QF)

    BEST A380 BUSINESS CLASS - 1st (EK), 2nd (SIA), 3rd (QF)

    BEST A380 ECONOMY CLASS - 1st (QF), 2nd (SQ), 3rd (EK)

  • Haha you sure SIA Business class is 2nd? SIA's business class has a 37 inch wide seat! :)

For Economy class, I think SIA should be third. Lots of complains about the size of the seats.

  • Actually, its 34 inches wide. Still a bit too wide for some.

  • I find it irritating that I can't rest my elbows whilst I'm seated. It's too wide for me. Also, although it's very comfortable in bed-mode, it's totally lacking in lumbar support, and gives me a backache.

  • yes but I prefer Emirates' configuration and amenities offered on the A380 in J. They offer a bar and many more features than SIA.

Alot of passengers dislike the SQ A380/77W Business Class seat as it is too wide and need to wedge themselves in with pillows, thats my opinion =)

PS- SIA, EK and QF all have the same seat sizes in Economy Class, SIA has more Economy features like the reading light, spectacle compartment and foot rests as oposed to EK's Y product.

  • so you rather sleep on a small seat next to a mini bar than having a 34 wide inch bed to stretch out and sleep on a 14 hour flight? Singapore Airlines set a benchmark for premium air travel offering a business class product that rivals other airlines first class seat.

  • Have you experienced SIA's new Business Class product?

Did you know that even though the bed surface is wide you have to sleep on an angle to fit ur feet into a small box like hole?

Ive experienced both SQ's and EK's A380 J Product and EK offers a better product in my opinion, you cannot judge a product if you have not tried it - sure, it looks good, but its not practical. Also, SQ's new J has the worst privacy when sleeping ever! It kind of feels strange when sleeping, EK's is more private.

  • Also, SQ is one of my favourite airlines along with EK, im not saying that SQ is bad, dont take things so personal!

  • the reason why Qantas did not put hotel suites in their planes like EK and SQ is because they do not have the money to offer such a high end premium comfort. Comparing the suites of SIA to QF is foolish. Its like comparing apples to oranges. Also take a look at QF business class. 2 QF business class equals to 1 SIA business class seat (How is this being in a closed space up in the air)

  • i dont sink thtas realy so cool...
