  • If they were to make another Banjo Kazooie game, PLEASE MAKE IT A PLATFORMER! (I know rare won't see this) This game isn't bad if it didn't have Banjo Kazooie on the title, if it was just a different series even it would be better. Hope theres a 'REAL' Banjo-threeie

  • Odd thing.

Seems like most who hadn't played a bk game before n&b liked the game.

    Yet everyone who had didn't.

So the main reason it gets so much hate must be because it wasn't a platformer. Why Exactly?

Loads of game series' have a variety of genre, why can't BK?

  • @TheDji33 EXACLY!

Can i kiss you for being the first freaking person in youtube that agreed with me?

  • @TheDji33 The fans hated this becasue of the cars they were made becasue the levels were too big to explore on foot.

  • @TheDji33 Well, I for one just hate the changes they made to the art-style and some of the characters. I'm not saying that the game looks bad, but why change something that is already perfectly fine?

  • @TheSpudJunk Dunno.

Maybe Rare felt the change of console meant a change of target audience and they changed it for that reason. Or maybe they just felt it needed an update, I frankly don't know.

My guess is that they knew the 'x-box crowd' wouldn't know about bk (and wouldn't be interested in it) and as such tried to appeal to that audience, leading to the vehicle creation basis and the new art style.

  • @TheDji33 The problem is that everyone assumes everyone who played the original B-K games didn't enjoy N&B, which isn't true.

I liked N&B for what it was. While it's a legitimate concern that the game is fundamentally different from the other two Banjo-Kazooie games enough that they wouldn't like Nuts & Bolts, as a game itself, Nuts & Bolts was great.

  • @TheMoonman4 u are absolutely right (u_u) i have banjo-tooie until today,i played N-B and i like it too :/ but the miss in the N64 is big,that i can´t discord

  • The game might've been different, but it was still banjo-kazooie in my heart...

  • This version sucked... Banjo-Kazooie Spiral Mountain was better. That one was the only time you heard the normal version. Tooie was depressed spiral mountain and this one isn't the same. Why did rare just screw up Banjo Kazooie? Why? I miss the old rare. And yes. It was actually Rare who screwed Banjo And Conker up. Microsoft didn't do shit... The just published it. Rare made them.

  • You can tell RARE put love into this game. It was just a poor execution, I think. I think this only because, for the most part, the music stayed in tact with the game. The music was one of the biggest points of BK/BT, and I think regardless of the updated orchestral tune it still has some sort of love built into it.

  • With headphones one side is background and percussion while the other is the melody

  • tooie or kazooie, second part or 71234623 part, i am glad there is a game with this system of building vehicles in this kind of atmosphear, no mater what person you,re playing there!

i am just glad, i never played any other part, only this, and it,s sweet!

  • this is SUPER HD

  • Playing through N&B it seemed to me like a boring game, and I only really played it for customization. Then, I got to Spiral Mountain. It was possibly the most beautiful re-endition of any map from any game I'd ever seen. Then, I fought Gruntilda.

It felt like the old games, for just a moment. Yes, you were still using vehicles, yes it was still a different game, but for some reason, the Grunty battle alone was enough beauty to make me actually like the game. That, and the wonderful post-game.

  • This song makes me both happy and sad... don't know why.

I think it's because still after Spiral mountain got ravaged back in Banjo-Tooie, life goes on, and somehow it managed to be just as sweet as it was before..

I'm actually crying here. So much emotions...

  • Banjo Kazooie + Conker = This song

  • There is nothing missing from Nuts and Bolts in my opinion. Banjo and Kazooie and Banjo Tooie are my second favorite games only to The Legend of Zelda. I truly loved the first two Banjo games and I love Nuts and Bolts and I'm going to love any of the ones in the future if any more are made. They changed the style of gameplay. So what. I love it when people take risks and try to take games in a new direction. Thats what they did with the Legend of Zelda. And Nuts and Bolts is a well made game!

  • @stefanski48 But zelda stayed allright and banjo.... not.

  • I miss the old Banjo solving puzzles getting Jiggies kicking grunty's ass :D but now Microsoft took it over and now its just not the same I miss the old Banjo and Kazooie I wish Rareware still made Banjo and Kazooie. but regardless ILL ALWAYS REMAIN A BANJO FAN!! Thumbs up if you agree!

  • this isnt the n&b Spiral mountain, thisis Press Start theme ._.

  • @HailfirePKSs this is spiral mountain. Enter spiral mountain and this plays

  • I have to say, at first I thought N&B would be complete crap... I can't say I was wrong, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. The writing is still hilarious, the music is still amazing, and the graphics are awesome (If not a little Pinata-y). Although, considering what happens at the end of the game, I'm looking forward to a game that's more Banjo-Threeie than N&B turned out to be.

  • One thing Rare never failed on, even to this day was having the best music composers!

  • Nintendo have RetroStudios - Microsoft have Rare... Hmm, no nothing.

  • Comment removed

  • The game was nothing like the other games, but....the music is fantastic, I have to give it that!

  • Que puta mierda, incomparable con la original ni la del banjo tooie

  • You can hate Rare for what they have become, or you can sit back and appreciate what they do right.

    This music is wonderful.

  • @vinyboiler I agree.

  • What is this "Rare" you speak of? The only Banjo and Kazooie I know were made by the great Rareware.

  • Stop saying that BKN&B sucks. It is still Banjo kazooie.

  • @theguy8330 yeah, but it changed REALLY much haha :P

  • Grant Kirkhope play the banjo. I think...

  • @TheOpinionGenie Actually it was made by a lot of the same people, which makes it even more depressing.

  • .........no comment

  • RARE come back!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • As much as I hate the path that theBK series took, I really like this rendition of Spiral Mountain.

  • This game is actually BK 4, because Grunties Revenge was made in 2003 I think.

  • @Dogispro it doesnt really count as a banjo kazooie game though

  • @Dogispro

that was the bridge between 1 and 2. this is number 3.

  • @TheOpinionGenie good point there :) BK 3 sure isnt a bad game. But you have to admit that nothing beats your childhood memories. And for the record: I just cant get along with the "Cars" in this game.

  • THIS IS THE BEST BANJO KAZOOIE SONG EVER!!!

  • Banjo Kazooie 3 lacks one thing the other 2 Games had: Love

  • @turisas131 It's not Banjo Kazooie 3. This is Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. There's a big difference there.

  • @LeMaitreDeSorts Lets hope there will be worthy B&K 3 someday. But for the record: Banjo Tooie was also not titled Banjo kazooie 2 but clearly was the second Part.

  • @turisas131 haha, true :P

  • @turisas131 Among other things, lol xD

  • @turisas131 More like the only things it had were music and 60's TV show references. Which is more than enough for me.

  • @turisas131 the number 3

  • @CalebJimmy i see what u did there

  • @turisas131 No, those 2 games EARNED that love. what's missing from the 3rd game is PLATFORMING

  • not bad.....not good....just middle well I suppose that country music isn't loved by everybody!

  • in all honest truth, I grew up with the game and loved it. I don't like this one as much (because nothing beats a childhood favorite), but it's still a DAMN good game.

  • Change in the game industry is impossible to avoid. it WILL happen, but change can be good or very bad, depending on the circumstances. Bad change occurs when you abandon a series for x ammount of time, egg people on about new releases that never reach fruition, and then bring it back in a completely different format with absoultely no indication that your company is going in a new direction by not releasing any new information and expect people to accept it on those grounds.

  • I don't understand why everyone's so upset over Nuts & Bolts when it's just a different take on the series. It's not in the same style as the first two, to be sure, but what's so bad about exercising creativity? Personally, I had a lot of fun with Nuts & Bolts - it had plenty of charm to it, and the near-limitless potential of vehicles allowed for much more interesting solutions to puzzles. The way I see it, it was just Microsoft's way of responding to LittleBigPlanet and other games like it.

  • @YouDuck2345 what's the to not understand? Fucking fanboys ruin the series not the creators...sigh...i never played any of these game. I watched my roommate play all of them and i just love them all!

  • ye olde Banjo and Kazooie for the next Smash Bros!! (i know its just a never happening dream, but how awesome would that be?)

  • @DragoSmash Hey, who knows. If Sonic and Snake could make it in, who says Banjo-Kazooie wouldn't have a chance? Along with maybe a few other characters.

  • @ColonelBluesEXE Sonic Team and and Konami aren't owned by a console developer. It's totally different.

  • Im actually glad Banjo Kazooie made Nuts& Bolts, what I mean is look at the Mario Franchise....After Super Mario 64 was released people just wanted more, and got just that, and maybe just too much. (If someone would have the time to list every Mario-Related game created up to date I'm sure you'll get the point)...I would rather see Banjo Kazooie Remembered for its older titles than the crap Mario releases from its fart-box....I mean really Mario and Sonic Olympics in London?!

  • Rare is dead. Cause Of Microsoft. You know, they could have made a Million dollar 3Ds Banjo Kazooie, remake... NOPE. Microsoft had to fuck it up. Like every fucking company has done to a classic. You have to leave it to the pros... Well, I'm going to find something else of my childhood that hasn't been fucking TRAMPLED.

  • I miss Banjo and Kazooie so much on Nintendo consoles... :(

  • @preiselbaer93 me too, Rare and Nintendo together were meant to be

  • Nuts in bolts is a great game, i dont understand the hate for ONE game in a franchise thats different from the other two.

  • They ruined banjo kazzoie and runied this song none less

  • The only good thing of the Nuts & Bolts game is the music. Just that, the rest is garbage.

  • Best arrangement of Spiral Mountain, I guess.

Now, I loved Kazooie and Tooie. They defined my childhood. I could say I hate this game, but... For some reason, I can't. I still want to give this game a chance, because I had so many good moments with Rare as a kid. All the DK games, Banjo, Jet force gemini, Conker... The list goes on. I'll support Rareware 'til the day I die. Even if they aren't as awesome as they were before. I owe then a lot. They had me going through hard times in life.

  • @Sizednochi

Loyalty is only a good thing until those you are loyal to prove themselves unworthy of it.

  • @NorthernWind0 True. I'm waiting for their next real game, if they ever get over that Kinect bullshit. Kameo was pretty cool and all that, so I still have hope.

  • @Sizednochi

    Gooood.

  • @TheOpinionGenie Actually, Microsoft bought them out I think.

  • @Klickso29 Actually, Nintendo dropped Rare and that got Microsoft to buy them.

  • @Gammer901 The true story! Microsoft bought 51% of Rare in the early 2000s. Nintendo said "Ah, what the hell," and sold the remaining 49%, making Rare an exclusive to Microsoft (sans the handheld games over the years.)

  • @Gammer901 Ooh, ok, thanks for filling me in with that. I feel 10X smarter cause of you.

  • el pero error que nintendo pudo cometer fue vender rareware, desde entonces se fueron hacia abajo y los buenos juegos dejaron de salir... que lastima

  • I thought this game was good. And I'm a Nintendo fanboy.

  • I've recently begun designing every element of a new Banjo game. when it is complete, I will anonymously email the plans, formulas, and everything needed to program/publish the game to Rare, telling them that if they want to use it then they must retroactively make N&B a Dream Sequence.

  • Here is the TRUE story of what happened to Rare. In 2002, the Stamper Brothers (the founders of Rare) sold 51% of Rare to Microsoft. Microsoft then paid 375 million to claim full ownership. Nintendo had to sell the remaining 49% due to this. In 2007, the Stamper Brothers left Rare and many other talented developers followed suit which triggered Rare's downfall. It's also not Microsoft's fault for what Rare has become. Rare is wholly responsible for their games. Microsoft simply publishes them.

  • Rare mad the best games...dumbasses should never had left Nintendo....

  • @explosivechildren you forgot the E in made

  • wat where rare thinking while making this game

  • Rare didn't "move" to Microsoft. Nintendo didn't want them anymore, so they put them up for sale.

  • Microsoft: You took away a little part of me when you bought Rare, but I was happy you at least saved them. Then I realized that means Banjo-Kazooie rights would go to you cheap lazy fuckers who only make games for your own console. I was hoping Banjo-Kazooie three (Nuts & Bolts) would come out on Wii for good times' sake. Since I don't plan on buying no Microsoft console of sorts, and you took away a HUMONGOUS part of my childhood, I hope you suffer in Otaku Nexus (nothing but educational TV).

  • Bad decisions

    1. Moving to Microsoft, who produce a Console that people generally buy for mature games

    2. Taking away the platforming we love.

They'd damn well better make up for it and make Banjo Threeie Dee Essie

  • Nuts & Bolts was a good game, the idea of creating vehicles was quite fun. But it was put in the wrong game series...

  • @yerapa12 yeah agree^^

  • The music may have been good at some points, but compared to the first and second games music, there Platipus Shit.

  • overall summary : game = pretty decent, music = fantastic, gameplay = ehhh, story = ok, final statement = fuck building shit

  • banjo and kazooie are super heros

  • Microsoft Needs to really Fucking Die For Totaly Ruining a Great Series Of Games. Which are:

    1. Banjo-Kazooie(N64) = Good.

    2. Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge(GBA) = ??? (Cuz I Haven't Played it :-( ).

    3. Banjo-Tooie(N64) = BADASS

    4. Banjo-Pilot(GBA) = ??? (Cuz I Haven't Played it :-( ).

Then Shit Happened Rare was sold to.... MICROSOFT!!!

    5. Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts 'n Bolts(X-BOX360) = (Game=Perfect)(Company=BAD)(Music=Good) Overall = Good!

    FUCK YOU MICROSOFT!

  • @123Anthony45 Ok, one thing all this people saying "FUK YU MIRCOSUFT" MS did not make this they just published it Rare came up with the ideas I loved this game as much as i loved BK and BT

  • @supersonic741 @Microsoft forced Rare to fuck up a lot of their business. For instance, they're being forced to focus their work on that piece of crap Kinect now.

  • @Sizednochi There making a BK for Kinect?

  • @supersonic741 Nah, it's Kinect sports or some shit like that.

  • @Sizednochi Yep Kinect is just a piece of shit addon for the X-Box 360, Which MADE IT MORE EXPENSIVE IN MY Country, Australia!

  • @supersonic741 finnaly someone understands that this was a good game you my good person are a diamond in the rough for bknb and you deserve the top comment not all this dear microsoft i hate you crap good job and thumbs up to you sir

  • I liked Nuts 'n Bolts and it was a good game. All I can say is that RARE should never have been sold to Microsoft.

  • Thanks Microsoft -.-

  • If you like this game microsoft might make a new better one so shut up and injoy the game.

  • THEY SPOILT IT!!!

  • Yeah, you guys are gunna murder me for saying this, but I liked the positive spin they put on the new version. The old one was great, but I must say... I tink I love this one just as much.

  • Ugh, how could you guys like this new version of the game? The characters are too boxy. Ive never played it, and its sounds really good and fun, but lets face it. Banjo And Kazzoie arent just some adventurers at this point. Theyve got total makeovers, a whole different plot line, why cant we just go back to the old days? Id be happy to try this new version, but personally, i just cant think of anything being better then the first 2 ^ ^' '

  • @BranCereal00 Also, Kazooie wears lipstick. A bird. Wearing lipstick. What the fuck?

  • link?

  • i think Rare should just do there own thing and hopefully a new banjo comes out soon, analysts have heard that microsoft should be unveiling a new Xbox at E3 2012 so then hopefully Rare wont be stuck making all that bullshit Kinect/avatar stuff and they can start making classic games again :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

  • Dear Microsoft.

    I hate you.

  • @DumDum5551 This made my day.

  • @DumDum5551 No Dear Microsoft Damnit! I hate you're freaking guts!

  • @DumDum5551 YES!!!!!!!! BANJO-KAZOOIE ON WII VIRTUAL CONSOLE!! WHO'S WITH ME?!!!

  • @DumDum5551 I hate YOU

  • @DumDum5551 Better than Sony

  • @clevrsnowmen true, at least microsoft makes a handful of their own games

  • Comment removed

  • @DumDum5551 dear santa ive been a good boy this year ok forget that santa KILL MICROSOFT

  • @DumDum5551 Microsoft didn't have much (if anything) to do with the development of Nuts and Bolts, they basically just let Rare do whatever they wanted. So I would blame Rare, not Microsoft.

  • @DumDum5551 In what way is it Microsoft's fault that this game didn't turn out as good as the others. Microsoft only purchased Rare, they didn't barge into their studio and say "HEY GUYS WE WANT YOU TO COMPLETELY ABANDON THE GAME PLAY OF YOUR PREVIOUS GAMES AND MAKE IT ALL ABOUT VEHICLES!" Rare did this themselves, do your research first before you go insult studios without learning what the difference is between game developers and the game distributors.

  • Wow, talk about losers arguing...

  • it wud be even better now if Rare went 2 Nintendo now aswell as the new Nintendo U has better Grapics then ether Xbox or PS3 and that nintendo is also going back to making hardcore games like they used 2 it wud the perfect time to go back 2 Nintendo

  • I agree with SporedFreak leave them alone. All the creators wanted was to try something new to please the more modern gaming demographic and since I am both a modern and classic gamer I love N&B just as I love the first two games. If Microsoft will allow it maybe Rare will please the classic fans with a more traditional 4th game just to stop the complaints from flooding their front door. It is sad that gamers cannot handle a little change now and then.

  • @jmario232

They needn't befoul an old franchise, exploiting its past success, in order to experiment. Christ, they're Rareware. they needn't rely on franchises for customers at all these days, I'd wager.

  • This is a nice version but it cannot beat the old Grant Kirkhope version...

  • at least the music is still how I remember it :(

  • I just love the harmonica at the end of the song!

  • They marketed Nuts and Bolts to the wrong audience. Instead of marketing it towards the nostalgia induced now 20 year olds, they tried to make it appeal to the newer 12 year olds. It obviously failed. Look at Toy Story 3, so many older people went to see that despite it being 10+ years.

  • 2 people disliked this video

  • the old games are way better, but still good i guess. Rare makes epic games.

  • this game would have been so awesome if it wasnt about those goddamn cars... imagine running around in those levels they looked fuckin' great. and the music.... just listen it still has that banjoo kazooie style and creates a nostalgic feeling

  • everyone hates this game becuase they hate microsoft i doubt theyve ever even played the god damned thing go play conckers bad fur day rare made that and you shoot crap in the last chapter complaining that rare never makes gun games pff

  • God damn it, why does everyone hate this game? I played through the WHOLE thing and it felt like nothing BUT Banjo. Seriously, play the damn game and you'll actually like it.

  • @CanadiensUnplugged

i have played and its not that bad.

just not the best idea for a banjo game.

but its still a great game.

  • The theme is nice. :)

  • I cannot believe that a company that had such quality as Rare would sell themselves to Microsoft, a Company whose audience is more interested in gunning down anything in sight. Really, how could they have thought that they'd sella Banjo-Kazooie game on there? It doesn't work without Nintendo.

    I want some Banjo-Kazoowii D:

  • @ShadowKreach

    YES!

    clever title by the way.

  • @Chase1002newaccount

Thanks, I spent a whole 30 Seconds on it :3

  • @ShadowKreach

    time well spent. seriously. :D

  • Think of it this way, Rare stated that they are interested in making a Banjo title for the 3ds. If they do and its a success then Nintendo will love them. If they fail with Kinect Sports 2 and Microsoft hates them then maybe they will sell Rare back to Nintendo for a smaller amount than they bought them for. If Nintendo loves them they may accept the offer. God if only that could happen. :(

  • They said the only good thing of this game was the soundtrack. For me, it sucks it too. The only good themes were this (Spiral Mountain), Jinjo challenge and Grunty's challenge. The other were only sucking orchestral remix of old music. Glad they added old musics, but they were bad-remixed!

  • Oh the nostalgia

  • Grant Kirkhope was the last good thing rare had going for it, now that he's gone it's just dead to me.

  • RARE we found out STOP AND SWOP WITHOUT HOT SWOPPING

  • rare quit from microsoft and go back to nintendo

  • @theskillz69 seriously??

  • @theskillz69 when did that happen and where does it say?

  • @IsaacAttack21 WAIT you eman they actully quited no they didnt YET

  • beverly hillbillys live next to banjo and kazooie.

  • I mean. Sorry, wrong song. The song in the house LOL

  • Mumbo's Moutain!

  • Grant Kirkhope has left Rare. Rare is doomed. RIP Banjo Kazooie

  • Comment removed

  • Its a good game, just it doesn't fit the Banjo Kazooie mentality... Which of course is to be a platformer.

  • (continueing) Grunty said Leaving me here was a big mistake just you wait! Something like that! BUT YEAH! NOT ANOTHER GRUNTY REVENGE 2! THE FIRST ONE SUCKED!

  • So they FINALLY put a banjo game with awesome graphics and they tick us off and not put the game as a regular game by going through spiral mountain gruntys laird feathers, eggs, And honeycombs, COLLECTING JIGGIES HOW THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO! I mean I woud have been fine with it if it were vehics in spiral mountain gruntys lair! BUT NOT SHOWDOWN TOWN! They better make another game with awespme graphics and a regular banjo game!

  • This game could've fucked the series up, but it was better than I expected. They kept the feel of the other 2 games, with an entire different playing style. I like that. Most of the cars weapons and parts with the BK theme. And god is the soundtrack amazing.

Probably one of the most underrated games ever.

  • @9000mudkipzareinert I like your way of thinking.

  • the only thing i would hate if they made a new banjo kazooie is grant kirkhope isnt with rare anymore and the music is one of the reasons why its one of my favorites

  • I was singing along to the tune... cause I know how to sing it....

  • The only actual theme in N&B with a banjo. The main character is Banjo, yet they took out everything to do with the banjo.

  • @MrPoopyface2 Well, I don't really recall Tooie having many songs with a banjo either. But then, all that means is that they forgot the point even earlier than N&B.

  • Comment removed

  • It's really a shame that newer generations may never play the first two.

  • @Luccifan45 Is that due to them looking old or due to the controls or just the lack of public knowledge cause the first two games are sitting on Xbox live market place waiting to be played.

  • @shadowhexogram

Remembered that about an hour after I posted the previous comment. |: /

  • compared to games like Spyro 4 this game is awesome but compared to its prequals it sucks.
