  • That radio genre of 'beautiful music' seems to have vanished around the time wise-ass comedians on MTV etc. started asking why easy listening music was so hard to listen to. ;)

  • I remember (and liked) WSSH, but I enjoyed Oasis after it changes, too. I didn't realize that WSSH was a beautiful music station originally. An interesting retrospective. Thanks for sharing this.

  • Quad Stereo FM, now there's something i didnt know about, rememeber quad records and tapes though.

  • This is the only one that I remember in that era doing quadraphonic. Their signal sometimes drifted into the WCOZ space, or near it. This was recorded with a dial-type tuner. I miss those.. I still have one around, but it failed in the mid 90's..
