Would somebody please enlighten me as to wtf the sound at 3:20 is. it's a metallic noise.......it's hard to describe but i've heard it in many videos so I'm sure other jeep owners are familiar with it. My jeep makes the same noise in 4lo quite often when I depress the clutch. I'm very familiar with jeeps, just finished rebuilding my entire rear end with new gears and a lunchbox locker, so I can keep up with most any explanation.
The "old" jeep is my 93 YJ, we converted it to a long arm coil spring setup and stretched the wheelbase 10". On that trip is was running a 9" rear and a 44 front, that trip is still one of my all time favorite wheeling trips
Got one like the black one w/white tailgate in Costa Rica. My driveway is a rugged dirt path up a mountain. It 4x4 all the time but during wet season I park and switch to tractor. even the tractor has probs thats how bad it gets. Later it drys and it just gets bumpier every year.
No power except generator, no water except collecting during rain and NO NEIGHBORS!
I luv that place. Had the property for 9 years and built the place myself with friends and a generator. The generator of choice was Honda. Still runs lol only when it wants to in heavy rain storms.
In dry season I park up top and roll down in neutral and pop the clutch when I get to the asphalt(which is a neutral ride for 25mins aside from the 15min driveway decent down a more driveable dirt road.
To sum up, I like OLD SKOOL better because with new skool I wouldn't have been able to decend with the engine off in neutral without the brakes freezing up! This decend helps me conserve fuel because its far to fill up there!!
