  • I'd give my right arm to hear Jim Irwin's call on this. RIP.

  • wow... they had some fat receivers back then.

  • Wisconsin was a joke, worst program in college next to Northwestern forever.People don't realize that now.guess I'm old.Al Toon was a great one though

  • wow that was way before me...

  • Thats my coach!

  • I was sitting in Section X at that game. I might have been one of the ONLY people at Camp Randall that knew what was happening. MG coach Dick Rundall used it against us in HS a couple of times. The thing more worse than missing the extra point was that the Badgers should have pick off an Eason pass with 13 seconds to go. Talk about going from a high to low in 1 min.

  • that was a great game ,thats what you call good old fashion football..i was the starting rb in that game dwight beverly.

  • I was a Freshman at Wisconsin, sitting in section "N" watching this game. I remember wondering what the hell just happened. Thought the play was dead but went crazy when we realized it was good! Thanks for posting. Brings back memories.

  • Al Toon Rules.

  • Tony Eason: my favorite college quarterback of all-time.

  • Was that Eric Forman in the stands after the Badgers scored?

  • @BrewNik LOL. Looked a lot like him.

  • @BrewNik No, dumbass.

  • Thanks for the post. I was just a kid then, but I remembe the heart ache. David Greenwood standing under the goal post to block a close kick is my lasting image.

Wisconsin also did a bounce pass against Iowa in '81 (can't remember if that one worked.)

About the guy that did the voice comments on the video, when's the last time Illinois won a rose bowl?? Shut up!

  • Camp Randall explosion!

  • I'd still like to kill linebacker Jim Milka for dropping the certain interception. Talk about going for sky high to low in 1 minute.

Weed Sextion X at the time with The Portage Plummer

  • One of the top two worst days of my life as a Badger fan.

  • a great Tony Eason !

  • wow, great game!!!

  • FIB's are all alike, full of themselves...

    How about those Cubs

  • At Camp Randall? I don't think so!

  • Anymore Tony Eason Or Dave Wilson videos when they were at Illinois? Please post them. thanks

  • crazy ending! Oskee Wow Wow

  • Love it!! I wish they'd bring back the Illini helmets and yes the Chief!!

  • Terrible job by Badger special teams and their defense to give the game back to Illinois. Bad coaching job at the end by Wisconsin.

  • Who's the douche with the "Bullsh*t" comment? It's a totally legal play -- and I went to Michigan State (insert football joke here)...

  • This is great. I have parts of this game and was going to upload it but ur copy is better than mine. Mike Bass, bare footed kicked put it right through to win the game.

Oh, didn't Illinois kick Wisconsin's ass in 2007?

  • That was Penn State that completely embarrassed them 38-7, but Illinois beat a decent Wisconsin team the week before to show everybody that they are for real.

  • yes but wisconsin had kicked illinois ass for the past 10 before that

  • you are a total loser. al toon made a great play, and illinois came back w/ a great victory. but what has illinois done since this game? have they won three rose bowls?

  • IF U NOTICE,GANG!!~ THAT WISC LB--DROPPED A 'for-sure" int--ILLINI WAS LUCKY TO HAVE HAD THE BALL--FOR THE GAME-WINNER.

  • um, but they did. and kicked cheeshead butt. i will live that moment forever. and bless the badger friends i made on that day! GO ILLINI!

  • yes!! its still legal!!~ always has been!!~ not bullsh-- whats bull sh-- is how this game ended---and the BADGERS LOST BECAUSE OF 2 MISSED PAT'S--AND A MISSED CHIP-SHOT FG!~

  • Uh, why is that BS??? Backward pass is a live ball, dude.

  • ILLINOIS GOIN 2 THE ROSE BOWL and my dad was on this team

  • MY UNCLE WAS THE QB FOR ILLINOIS!

  • What is ur Uncle's name that played quarterback for Illini?

  • tony eason

  • Tony was a great quarterback for Illinois you should be proud of him. Glad he played for the Illini!!!!

  • tell your unlce that he had a brilliant game in Super Bowl XX

  • Who is your Dad?

  • Is this still legal or not?

  • Yes of course!

It is only because he threw it behind him and its just considered a fumble recovery/lateral and the halfback picked it up and threw it.

I don't think anyone should ever try it because you never know how its gonna bounce but yes, still legal.

  • Thanks & LOL @ the comments in video.

  • Awesome! Thanks noreaster.

  • Hahaha, wow. Amazing play from the Sconies. Unfortunately they couldn't get it done. Just like today.
