I remember reading about this cell phone gun in the 90s. It is kind of old news. They even had the same tag line that "it's not in the U.S. yet". There are guns that look like ink pens that have been on the market for years. They fire 1 round of .22 or .25 caliber, your choice when you buy the pistol. The one I saw (and handled - it was cool as hell) was about $100

If you think about it there is not too much involved here. All it takes is a small pin and a spring to make it fire. If you look and see the smoke and the fired bullets they have the small dent in the end. My dad was a gunsmith and he made some things smaller than this that would easily fire a bullet, then remove the cover and turn upside down and out comes the shell. Simply put this is not incredible by any means, nor fake in appearance. Of course mine would be a .45 and not a 22. Peace.

How do you stop criminals who buy smuggles guns (that cannot be regulated through government authorities, obviously) when you own no firearms? What are we suppose to use, spitballs?
Interesting, but I'm sure they are here in the US already. They most likely have some that still work as phones. If you see video of something being said to be state of the art, you can be sure it's really at least over 10 year old technology, if not much older.

Wow! You obviously dont know enough about guns to make that strong of an acusation.
Now that Ive seen it, its not hard at all to figure out how it works.
The sliding mechanism in the back lock, and unlock the chamber, but also pulls four small firing pins back and locks the in place.
The keys pushed release the springs on the firing pins which hit the rim of the round.

Guns really arent very complicated.
Most modern guns just have so many bells and whistles that they seem complicated.
But the basic principle is simply a pin hitting a primer which ignites the powder.
