Great game. Although Shocking Void attempts to emulate it it's not even close to the original. I have to give them credit for trying though. Old school gamers that played it know what I mean :) Nothin like holding c-pool wars for intense gameplay. Nice video. Good to see people that enjoyed it besides me are still around.

click on the green circle on the right side of the screen once you are in. That is the option button. you should see how you can change the buttons from there.
I think by default a mouse button allows you to move forward.

You have to organize a game with a group of your friends. If the site is down that means ID is updating the server.
It is working for me right now. If you want to play sometime this week I will play. I am sure most people would since it is a week off from work/school.

Magestorm was by far the single best video game ever made. It took personal skill, along with strategy and a ton of teamwork to be good at it. I used to love guild vs guild death matches when they came out with the bigger arena's. I miss the community and the teamwork, I miss being on the stacked team and like me and 1 other person would switch to the underdog team and completely turn the game around with quality teamwork. The game was so well balanced, and it was simply the best video game ever

Not just 10 dollars a month. When it first came out on AOL, you were charged by the hour. I was a GM for splatterball so I was able to play for free, but I know of quite a few people who racked up bills over a $100. There were quite a few brits that played on dial up too, so not only did they pay the hourly fee, but also an hourly connection charge. =)
Ha! I remember... about 5 months of allowance went back to my parents to cover unexpected charges from that. I still have the install files, it lets you play with phantom opponents, oddly enough

Yeah, there was a guy that was working on a replica using Game Maker 7.0. He made quite a bit of progress and then took his site offline like a week ago. Sucks!
I missed that game also. I couldnt figure out the way to choose spells though. Its like every character got a random spell. Mine for my mentalist was flight and that head zap thingy.
Did you use the 'schools' tab on top? You have to advance through each category of spell, so if you weren't picking specific schools, you'd just get one whole set.

gamestorm bundle had alot of games with it for 10$ a month. darkness falls the crusade, spellbinder, independance day, magestorm, splatterball, godzilla online. it was well worth the 10$ a month

shocking void is a great game just needs a community, please come play. Its free. Its a first person shooter, where your character gains levels and achieves new spells as you increase in level. Great game 2 thumbs up.

I've been working on it for a week, and you can currently create characters, and go into the tavern etc.
It's far from done, but it may be playable within a few weeks.

I recently started searching for Magestorm.
I wanted to revisit the old days and start playing again.
I am deeply saddended to see that it is unavailable anywhere.
Magestorm was the best game ever created.

Yeah, there was a guy that was working on a replica using Game Maker 7.0. He made quite a bit of progress and then took his site offline like a week ago. Sucks!

I missed that game also. I couldnt figure out the way to choose spells though. Its like every character got a random spell. Mine for my mentalist was flight and that head zap thingy.

Did you use the 'schools' tab on top? You have to advance through each category of spell, so if you weren't picking specific schools, you'd just get one whole set.

I miss that game on Magestorm I was a 30 lvl cleric Dodge and a 30 lvl arc LarryDK know as LarryKing.I still have the old Magestorm version you can play offline wish I knew how to bootleg the old players back in on a sever off the full version I have .........Dodge

Magestorm was the best game ever made haha. I'd still play this today if it was around. Played it from like 1998ish till it went down for good in January 2006. Somebody needs to throw it up on a bootleg server or something!

Blizzy Hay man Its Dodge and LarryKing my charaters on Magestorm oh I miss that game how has it been ,,I played mage from the start of that game from 95 to 2006 I was a Mage freak.Remember I was a cleric and a arc old times never be forgoten :) .........

gamestorm bundle had alot of games with it for 10$ a month. darkness falls the crusade, spellbinder, independance day, magestorm, splatterball, godzilla online. it was well worth the 10$ a month

yeah lol same here, i think i started playing magestorm on Aol 3.0 LOL. Shocking void is more like spellbinder then magestorm but its all the fun to me.

shocking void is a great game just needs a community, please come play. Its free. Its a first person shooter, where your character gains levels and achieves new spells as you increase in level. Great game 2 thumbs up.
