It would be better without a bo-hi but it wasn't so much with one-no blade presence at all in normal gripping and too close a balance point to the tsuba. It just felt weird but now not so much.

Great blade man, I'm always up for mods on katana. I especially like the handle, real original stuff. Although you kinda ruined the advantage of the Oniyuri by giving it a normal length tsuka. If it was built with a longer tsuka that would be a million times better.

i love the design it looks like it handles perfect

i was looking to do something simmilar because i have not been able to find any sword to my ideal specifications besides the oniyuri...which i would like to customize a bit and change the tsuba and tsuka...im concerned more about fuctional use of the tool then the formalitys of the art in the weapon..i could always have a custom blade made but i wrather not pay for it so i would love to know how to create my own hybrid
