  • I wonder if Asscherick knows that Revelation was a very much disputed book in the early church. It was only definitively included by the late 4th century by Athanasius. But then the early church never included Revelation in the lectionary because of the propensity for ppl to abuse it. It is not an easy book to understand. It should be treated with extreme caution.

  • He gave me a key to understanding prophecy, but as he mentioned that God is a great teacher, and he teaches, then he expands. So too I feel that by going back to the Torah he has expanded in me.Jesus refers to Tammuz the pagan god. We have changed the name of the Son of Yahweh, even though the SDA is very good with sabbath keeping, they have missed that 1 point - that the Bible is NOT translationally accurate.

  • It is the destiny of each of us to stand alone with our God! Jesus told Peter, concerning John, ''If I want him to remain until I return, whats that to you? you follow me''.......1Cor. 13:8.....''whether there be prophecies, they shall fail (cease).......''......Its all about LOVE!

  • Amen, camelhawk!!! It is all about loving and following Jesus!!! Amen!! *smiles*

  • "I am the Lord . . . new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them." Isaiah 42:8, 9

"I am God . . . Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done." Isaiah 46:9, 10

Bible predictions of things to happen in the future confirm the inspiration of Scripture as they come to pass. He sure loves us!!!

  • @camelhawk Yahushua/Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my Commandments." His Commandments are the same as YHWH's, for they are One. He never said all you have to do is love. You have to show that love by obeying His Commandments.

  • @LoricaLady God's moral standards? No thanks! Look at how God rewards child sacrifice for Jephthah, how he arranges the killing of Job's beloved children just because Job trusted God, how God commands his people to rip little girls from the bloody arms of their murdered mothers and take them home to share with YHVH's priests, how he approves of public rape to punish people. Look at the command to practice ritualized cannibalism! What a wonderful pattern for morality!
  • AMEN!

  • I like the way that he said, "I want you to have tools in your own hands so you can do your own study, your own thinking. Your own what everyone?"

    Everyone: "Thinking."

"And never forget this. If you are not thinking, then someone is doing your thinking for you."

    I LOL'ed :p

  • I love the solid, consistent upbeat way David brings his classes. And, yes, think for yourself! Amen.

    Yah Bless, love & Mercy

  • I agree! Amen! He is a wonderful speaker! Happy Sabbath, my Sister. Keep lifting Him up! *smiles*

  • I felt confused for a very long time about Revelation, reeeally confused, until I started studying the 7th Day Adventists' historicism approach to prophecy. Now it makes sense. I am not SDA, but Messianic, and had not heard of this man. I know Walter Veith, also SDA, is great on prophecy, as is Steve Wohlberg, another SDA.

    Thanks for posting this!

  • @LoricaLady Revelation is pure nonsense.
