Firtst off these tractors pull about 300 feet or 100 meters. Second they only run a few times a week and during summer. Your cars pollute more than these tractors because of the following reasons: an average car runs miles a day, they run all year, and just because you can't see the exhaust does not mean that it is less harmful. The reason this tractor smokes is because it is diesel and they run water through the engine to cool it off. The defense rests.

smoke isn't the pollution, Smoke that you see is solid, its a particulate and it does fall back to the ground. The combustion of the fuel makes carbon monoxide and dioxide that you can't see and thats the bad stuff
