I am a NYC Firefighter that recently was on Governors Island because of a gas leak. I was admiring the trees in the park when a ranger pointed out that they have a few of these wonderful trees. They were about 4' high and look healthy. The trees bore fruit. I grabbed a few nuts that were in the ground to plant them in my yard this spring!
