OK.Nursing home patients and cancer patients currently do pay tax on their services indirectly.The people and the company that takes care of them pay tax on their income so if there were no income tax the cost of the service would be lower. For example if the nursing home knew that they wouldn't have to pay 30% tax rate on their income then they could charge 30% less for the same service.that is part of the beauty of the fair tax the cost of goods and services will go down.

OK.Nursing home patients and cancer patients currently do pay tax on their services indirectly.The people and the company that takes care of them pay tax on their income so if there were no income tax the cost of the service would be lower. For example if the nursing home knew that they wouldn't have to pay 30% tax rate on their income then they could charge 30% less for the same service.that is part of the beauty of the fair tax the cost of goods and services will go down.

Clay -- here is a clue. Our family business less than 2% from embedded FICA. Nursing homes would save some probably 3-4%. NOT 30 The EMPLOYEES would save some, but thats what THEY save.
And even IF we took ALL our employees "savings" we could only lower our prices 6-8%. Thats just cutting their wages really. And the fairtax rate would have to be over 50 anyway. The hucksters that lied to you about government paying its own taxes, lied to you about this too. Find out the real story.

The fair tax is the best way to ensure that everyone pays tax based on ability. Currently if someone falsifies their tax return they pay no tax, illegals pay no tax. The Mexican consulate he helped establish recently announced they have to hire more people to deal with the workload. Determining what happened in the past based on evidence is part of daily life. A jury may not have witnessed a murder, but based on evidence at trial, a consensus can be established as to who the killer is. Inference and induction are perfectly valid and logical ways of thinking. Yes, juries make wrong decisions based on incomplete evidence as do scientists, but evolution has not seriously been in question for many years now.

I believe there is a common ground in creation and evolution, and that is that we all came from dirt. I believe 6k yrs ago God.....and evolutionists believe 4.6 Billion years ago dirt...
And don't even say you don't believe that, because if you trace back as far as the "big bang" then we did come from dirt (according to "science"). BTW, if you reply don't expect one from me b/c I'm tired of trying to prove my point to nonbelievers...it gets nowhere.

Not trying to disprove of you. I'm a christian and believe in evolution. I believe evolution is how God created man and every living thing. And the Big Bang is the "6 days" when he created the universe. One thing i must point out. God did not literally create the universe in 6 days or 6k yrs. It was implying that to God their is no existence of time.

Oh i see, well I'm happy to hear that you're a believer. :) That brings me joy. The thing about the literal 6 day creation is that in Genesis it says specifically "And the evening and the morning were the third day/fourth day/fifth day/sixth day." Also, He made the plants and trees on the third day, but didn't make the sun to divide day and night. If there is a substantial amount of time between Him making the plants then the sun, then they would have wivered long before the sun was made.

I think it is a mistake to take the Bible literally and opens you up for ridicule, because it forces you to defend some impossible claims. It is important to remember that God did not write the Bible and throw it down from heaven, it was written by many people. It is true that they were divinely inspired, but that does not mean that they didn't unintentionally insert their own inaccuracies (all humans are flawed and have flawed outlooks).

I totally agree. thats why i think when God said 6 days, he was meaning not literally. I dont think time applies to God. And yes humans are flawed creatures and there has been MANY translations in the bible and many lost translations.

Huckabee is the worst option for nomination. He supports censorship & has a reputation for graft. The Republican friendly Arkansas Gazette, calls him "petty" and "thin-skinned" He's tried to censor good conservative newspapers. In the 1992 contest with Bumpers, Huckabee used campaign funds to pay himself as his own media consultant. The mans not honest.

Huckabee's a mess. He lacks support, except from the short-sighted folks who just recently exited Fred Thompson's sinking ship. In a matter of weeks they'll be looking to escape the U.S.S. Huckabee and find another flavor of the month.
Mitt's the only well-rounded conservative we have in the field. McCain will be bowing out of Iowa and has virtually signaled his own defeat. Rudy's a lib and Fred's so lazy. You Huckabee people alread know that. That's why you left him behind.

Despite what he now claims on his website, Huckabee has a history of being pro-illegal immigration. He supported in state tuition for illegals, supported amnesty, and opposed a bill that would have cut off illegals from welfare. I know that Huckabee supporters won't let anything, not even the truth, come between them and their candidate but please do some actual research and don't just believe what you read on his campaign site.

Mike Huckabee is encouraging the most sensible and aggressive solution to destroying the threat of illegal immigration.
His tax plan, the FairTax, would give a prebate on the consumption tax of necessities to citizens and not illegals making ti impossible for illegal immigrants to operate low paying jobs successfully. Also he looks to going after corporations employing illegals instead of American citizens with heavy fines.
Huckabee has solutions without the hate spewing.

Any question that ends with "Please answer yes or no" is designed to back the recipient into a corner. It implies that if the Governer were to answer with more than yes or no, he could explain the inconsistencies in your question. Learn to ask better questions.

blacksheepwall79: the reason the "yes or no" is in there is because whoever will ask the question will not push for an answer. If I left that out, Huck would just go into a speech, and the moderator would let him get away with it.
Of course, the likelihood of CNN asking this question is not good considering that questions like this would reveal just how weak the other questions they've asked are.
